Final Soccer Saturday

All the girls’ games finished today. It was a beautiful day!

Tori is happy to be done though she will miss the after game treats!!

Tori won a gift card to Target for selling chocolates! She is pretty happy!

Michael! Always happy to have this kid around!!

Ariana is sad the season is coming to an end! She loves soccer and is always outside kicking a ball. She loves to run and has found a new talent!! She is her team biggest fan! When she sits out a quarter she is always on the sideline cheering and giving direction! It is so fun to watch her!

Britain and Kalixta are sad to see the season end also! The discovered a love for soccer and can’t wait to play next year! After the game they had a pizza party! The girls signed each other shirts, ate pizza, giggled and had a ton of fun!

They each got a medal and one of their coaches made them pink soccer bracelets!

Coach also announced that Britain was one of three girls nominated for the all-star team! She was more than thrilled and shocked!

CI vs Hueneme

Nik had his last game yesterday. It was against Hueneme High School. They have had a hard year this year. It was a big win for CI! Final score was 43-6.

It was a fun game to watch! Though I did feel bad for Hueneme. But their fans and players were amazing! They never gave up and cheered until the end!

Nik personally had a great game. He had a 54 yard catch for a touchdown. He put the first points on the board!

He also had an interception that he ran back 74 yards for a touch down!

He finished the game with 3 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown! Max Preps says he has 2 solo tackles but I know he had more than that! And the interception we ran back for the touchdown!!

He finished the season with 44 solo tackles and 57 total tackles. He had 3 interceptions, 2 were touchdowns, caused 2 fumbles and recovered 2 fumbles! He had a total of 29 catches for 404 yards and 3 touch downs!

Selfies

I never know what pictures will be on my phone!

They do love to fill up my phone! I don’t complain!!

Flag Football State Tournament

Adam and Ammon drove down to Pasadena for Ammon’s flag football state tournament. They didn’t do very good, losing the first game, but came back and won the second. Unfortunantly they were done! Ammon did get to eat at a few yummy places Adam has heard about and spent a lot of good time with his Dad!

Court Of Honor

Ammon’s troop had a Court Of Honor tonight!. Ammon has been working hard and earned 5 merit badges! He needs 21 to get his Eagle, he already has 8 so he is doing great!

School Creations!

Tori brought home all her school Halloween creations on Friday! I love kindergarten!! It is so fun!

She had all kinds of fun facts about pumpkins, bats and leaves as she showed me her art!

Kalixta is in a little buddy mentoring program and goes to Tori’s classroom once a week. They do crafts or read with them. Last week the all made pumpkins together!

Earlier this month she brought home her Statue of Liberty hat! She is learning about her in school! I love to hear her tell me what she is learning…even when it is not all correct! We have great discussions! She doesn’t always believe that she is remembering wrong because that is what “Mrs. King told her!”

Busy Wet Saturday

All week the forecasts said it would rain Halloween night so we were prepared to go Trick-or-treating in the rain. Lucky for us the rain started at 10pm! Perfect timing!

Saturday was a typical soccer Saturday with our family going in 5 different directions. I woke up to pouring rain and thought everything would be canceled but it was not the case!

Ammon was off to the Punch Bowl hiking trail to clean it up and clear it with Sam Cvijanovich’s Eagle project. Nik was going to go out of town but that canceled at the last minute so he went paint balling with his friends for Tommy’s birthday!

Soccer was on! Tori’s team parents did decided they didn’t want their girls playing in the rain so that game was canceled! Ariana’s game was first! It wasn’t as wet as I thought it would be! The dry ground just soaked it all in! By the time the game started the sun was shining and it was beautiful!

One of the Dad’s on the team told Ariana she was a beast on the soccer field! She just giggled and said thanks!

I love my girls in pink!

Kalixta had fun playing with the worms! Britain did not think that was cool!

Britain and Kalixta had a great game! They played so hard! I am so proud of how much they have learned this season!!

We got home ate, cleaned up and redressed in Halloween costumes for our ward Halloween party! We made spider cupcakes, cornbread and yummy white chicken chili!

Kalixta and Michael’s pumpkins won for the pumpkin carving contest!

They had fun games to play and face painting! Ammon’s paint job looked awesome!

The kids got tons more candy! And a flashlight! LOVE!

Happy Halloween!!

Zoe and her bff were Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum! Their costumes turned out so cute!! The girls went to a Halloween party in Camarillo with their seminary class!

Ammon had a hard time deciding and was going to go as a football player again! Then we came up with this costume! Love it! Ammon went Trick-or-treating with his good friend in Camarillo! They had a blast!

What else could Michael be?! Perfect!

Tori was the perfect Princess Sophia the First!

Britain made the perfect bumble bee bouncing around everywhere!

Kalixta’s hair out of those buns made beautiful curls to match her lady bug! Her and Britain had a friend come to Trick-treat with them!

Ariana wanted to be the ghost. My sister Marci made this costume a few years ago! No one knew who she was until she smiled!

Adam scared all the Trick-or treaters at our house and his Uncle Eddie walked around with us and his daughter scaring them in the streets!

We had a blast Trick-or-treating with the Moore Family too! It was a good good night!

You can tell by the candy haul and big smiles!

Ammon and his friend and his friend little brother trading candy!

Crazy Hair Day and a Peace Builder Award!!

My favorite school day is crazy hair day! The kids always have the own ideas about what they want.

Britain wanted poof!

Ammon didn’t know but liked the results!

Kalixta looked great!

Ariana loved her hair!

Tori rocked her hair do!

Kalixta was awarded the Peace Builder award this week! So proud of  her!
