Today was the perfect sports day. Usually everyone's game overlap and I only get to watch one. Today was the perfect day because everyone's was spread out. We started at Zoe's game at 5:00. She was a little hyper and had a funny game, but her team WON!! Yippee! She played goalie too and had a good time. She really likes that position! Sorry the picture is fussy. I took it from very far away!

Another first for Tori! I have been trying to put off her firsts, but they keep coming. I just want to freeze her in this moment and keep her forever.  But I can't so yesterday Marci gave Tori her first ponytail! Marci has given all the girls their first ponytails! It's our tradition!

After Nik did a good job Wednesday running the ball at his game his coach moved him to running back. He was so stoked to handle the ball. Today was his first time playing that position. He had a few great runs. He is still the kicker and punter and did a great job there. Adam took a lot of video to show Nik where he can improve so I had him pick Nik's best ones to put here. These are mostly for Grandmas, Grandpas, Uncles and Aunts that aren't able to watch his games. And anyone else who just enjoys football! Nik is 78 on the green team!

It is a sad day in our house today. Our Charlie dog got hit by a car and died. Adam was taking Nik, Zoe and Ammon to school this morning and saw him out on the road. Zoe and Ammon were so upset and cried all the way to school. Ammon said it was the worst day ever because they read a story at school about two dogs and it made him cry. They also sang a song about dogs that made him cry. Zoe said she cried lots of times too. 

 

Another dessert gone great in my dessert craze! These are a little lighter than last weeks post but just as good. I love treats like this and I was a little worried that Adam wouldn't like them but he did!! They come from another great food blog I found called Not So Secret Family Recipes.

Nik had a good game today. He got a few tackles and some good hits. He is the new kicker and punter so he did one of each of those today. He also got to run the ball three times! One was a great run!! It was for over 15 yards giving his team a first down! The other two were trick plays. He was "supposed" to punt the ball but he ran it instead. Unfortunately both tries it was 4th and about 15 so he didn't get the full yardage to get first down. He had fun though!

  

Sunflowers just make me happy! I love them! Small sunflowers grow as weeds here. They are all over! They make my drive to the kids' school and back sunnier! Yesterday I just had to pick some for my kitchen table!

Zoe and Ammon won their soccer games tonight and Adam won his softball game. Zoe played a great defensive game today. The coach keeps her in the center defense position and she loves it. She is more aggressive and more precise with her kicks! Her team dominated so she was a little bored in the back field!

I finally got to go to Ammon's game! He did awesome! He is fast and very aggressive. Lots of fun to watch!!

 

I arrived at Adam's game just in time to see the last two plays so no pictures! 

As we were walking to Ammon's game Britain and Kalixta were holding hands and singing a song from school. Having them in two different classes has been great for them. They enjoy the time they have together so much more. They like having someone to compare their day with. Somethings are the same and somethings are different! It is so good!! And this is priceless to me!

I tried a few recipes and loved them all. I made this Marshmallow Brownie twice now and I am craving right now!! It was so so good and very easy to make!

Zoe has such a fun personality! She is a very happy girl and shows it by tons of loud laughing! She tries hard and can make anyone laugh. When her friends are around, forget it! The laughing is out of control! I love the fun she brings to our family! One evening she came up stairs for prayers dressed like she had some plans later that night!
