I need an updated picture on Nik to put on my wall so we went outside yesterday and took a few shots. He was a good sport and took some good pictures! Bet you can tell which poses were his idea!

We picked up a kids magazine from the grocery store last week. In it was a marshmallow man kinda like on Ghostbusters. The kids decided we needed to make shmarshmallow men! After a few days of reminding me to get marshmallows we had a blast making shmarshmallow (No typo, this is how Ariana says it!) men!
We used frosting to get them to stick together but some of them were so big they wouldn't stand up!
Nik did make some but then took them apart to give the other kids more marshmallows! Sometimes he can be such a Sweetie!!
The best part was eating them when we were done!!

Did you know that female turkeys cluck but they cannot gobble? Just an interesting second grade fact!
Sunday we made our annual thankful turkeys. The kids had been asking when we were going to make them! I am glad they remember and like this tradition because I LOVE it!
I totally forgot to take pictures last night (What is wrong with me, right?!) so I took these tonight.

Did you miss last week's recipe? I did too! I just had so many other fun things to post about, but it's back! These are Adam's new favorite cookie! Adam's job should have been a taste taster! He has a great sense of what tastes go together and all that foodie stuff! Sometimes it makes him hard to cook for but a fun challenge too. It is the best to find something that he really likes! He found this recipe the other day and loved it. I made it for him again today! That alone says how good they are!
$2 Cookies from Just That Good…..
Enjoy!!!!

School pictures came this week! I love cutting the pictures apart and writing on the back. I enjoy putting them into the piles to send to family. But most of all I love changing my wall! Behind the current picture are all the past pictures so when I change the picture I get to look and all the past ones and see how my darlings have changed! Every time I get a lump in my throat. They grow so fast and I am so proud of each one!
Zoe 4th grade 9 years old!
Ammon 2nd grade 8 years old
Kalixta Kindergarten 5 years old
Britain Kindergarten 5 years old
Nobody blinked this year! I love how they all turned out!!

Friday night we got home late. I wanted all the kids to kneel down to say prayers before they got into their pj's. Everyone was ready but Kalixta was missing. We waited a minute or two and then I went downstairs to find her. She was curled up in bed already.
Me: "Kalixta come upstairs for prayers. Everyone is waiting!"
K: "I don't want to."
Me: "Why not?"
K: Grown ups pray too long!"
Me: "Oh, it's Zoe's turn to pray!"
K: "Okay!" And she jumped up and went upstairs!
Kalixta cracks me up all day long! She has the best one liners that she delivers with such an attitude that I laugh out loud!
Britain is learning a lot at school. This morning's conversation was proof of that!
Every morning Adam reads an article in the Friend (a church magazine for kids) to the kids. There is a section called, "Trying to Be Like Jesus" where kids write letters to the magazine about how they try to be like Jesus and choose the right. Every time we read that section Adam tells the kids they should write a story to the Friend. Today was no exception. Ammon said he didn't have a story to write to which Britain added, "If I were to write a story it would be fiction and that wouldn't be right!"
Fiction?! I thought that was funny! She had to have learned that at school!

Adam sent this to me today with the subject "Who do YOU see in this clip?" I see me! I am so impatient with others I don't know! I want everything to be fair and get irritated when I have to wait too long or can't get what I need or have to drive behind "slow" drivers! It is a good reminder about what or who is really important!
Go do service today!!

Jeff and Kylie drove here just for the Halloween weekend! We love having them here so much and miss them tons already! They are lots of fun and lots of help!
This is the second year they have been here for Halloween and I hope the tradition continues because I can't picture Halloween without them!
Monday morning was a sad morning since they left. The little girls stood at the door waving. We all miss them tons! Good thing they will be back soon! Last night Ammon slept with a ball Jeff won and left here for the kids. Tonight Ariana slept with it because it reminds her of Jeffy!
Thanks for coming Jeffy and Kylie! We love you!!
