Funnies

Friday night we got home late. I wanted all the kids to kneel down to say prayers before they got into their pj's. Everyone was ready but Kalixta was missing. We waited a minute or two and then I went downstairs to find her. She was curled up in bed already.

Me: "Kalixta come upstairs for prayers. Everyone is waiting!"

K: "I don't want to."

Me: "Why not?"

K: Grown ups pray too long!"

Me: "Oh, it's Zoe's turn to pray!"

K: "Okay!" And she jumped up and went upstairs!

Kalixta cracks me up all day long! She has the best one liners that she delivers with such an attitude that I laugh out loud!

Britain is learning a lot at school. This morning's conversation was proof of that!

Every morning Adam reads an article in the Friend (a church magazine for kids) to the kids. There is a section called, "Trying to Be Like Jesus" where kids write letters to the magazine about how they try to be like Jesus and choose the right. Every time we read that section Adam tells the kids they should write a story to the Friend. Today was no exception. Ammon said he didn't have a story to write to which Britain added, "If I were to write a story it would be fiction and that wouldn't be right!"

Fiction?! I thought that was funny! She had to have learned that at school!
