Adam started this blog in July of 2006. Almost two years ago!  When he did I thought it was another of his crazy ideas! I thought he could do most of the posting and I would add something every once in a while, just to keep him happy. Who knew I was get so hooked and do ALL of the posting. And be so fanatical about it as he says. Well, it's his fault, after all he started it!

One day at the Platt house Ariana was looking in the mirror saying "Happy face. Mad face. Happy face. Mad face." and changing her expression each time. When Marci showed me I cracked up. When I asked her to do it for me she added a few more faces!

Friday after school we took the kids to BYU's Museum of Art. They were having a special exhibit by Walter Wick. He is the guy who does all the I Spy stuff. To see more click here. The kids had a great time. They loved looking for different objects in each picture. It was fun to see and read how different scenes were set up. 

My sister in law Jaime played soccer for BYU! She is awesome! She played before we moved here so I never saw her play. I was excited to hear that her annual alumni soccer game was Saturday and I was free. Marci came up with the great idea of making posters for Jaime. They kids had a blast making them and waving them and cheering for her at her game. I hope she wasn't to embarrassed by us!

 

Today was a beautiful day! It was a perfect Easter Sunday! Everybody here stayed at mine or the Platt's house and they all came to church with us! It was so great to have almost my whole family there! After lunch and some naps we did confetti eggs. I will warn you now… there are a lot of pictures!! But is was so fun it was hard to cut some out. We had a great day today. The kids woke up and found lots of candy in their Easter baskets. They also got a set of Dominions that they love.

Tomorrow is our big Easter celebration. I can't wait! Adam is making carne asada! My favorite! The kids get their baskets. All my family will come over (did I mention my brother Jeff, his girlfriend Kylie, and my Mom are all here!!!!) and we will have an Easter egg hunt and do confetti eggs. This helps keep Sunday more relaxed and calm so we can remember the real meaning of Easter.

Confetti eggs are the best. They have been a tradition in Adam's family forever. I start saving eggs in January. I break a quarter size hole in the top on the egg, dump out the egg and then wash and saved the shell. We then dye the eggs and fill them with a little flour and confetti. Britain, Kalixta, and Ari helped me put confetti in the eggs this year.

After the egg hunt we bring out the confetti eggs and smash them on someone's head. It is crazy, messy, loud and sooooo much fun. It is always fun to see how the kids react to getting hit with the eggs and then in turn to hit someone. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!

Britain and Kalixta had great school days this week. They made the cutest butterflies.

The kids are having spirit week at school. They do fun things like crazy sock day and hat day. Today was crazy hair day. They were so excited. Ammon wanted to do a mo-hawk. After school yesterday he thought everyone was copying him and wanted to do something else. This is what we can up with!

I love the sunshine. I love to sit in the sun. I love the warmth on my skin. It is a feeling like no other to me. Apparently Ariana is just like her Momma! LOVE IT!
