We missed all the rest of our family. It was so hard for me to have the baptism without all the grandparents and aunts and uncles! We missed you guys all so much!

It was a great opportunity to take pictures of all the kids together. Getting everyone to smile is a whole other thing. Ariana did NOT want to take a picture. Tori was petting Kalixta the entire time which was pretty funny! So I guess five out of seven looking at the camera and smiling is good.

I Love Nativities!

I love getting my nativities out the day after Thanksgiving. Nativities are an amazing way to remember the meaning of Christmas. They are beautiful in all there different shapes, sizes and designs! I love my nativities! They are just perfect! I have a beautiful one in the center of our living room. Everybody knows not to touch it!

Another nativity sits on the book shelf just within the reach of Tori! The younger girls love to play with all the figures and pretend to be Mary or a Wise Man or a Shepherd. And Tori, sweet Tori is able to level it in one swoop!

We are often looking for Baby Jesus in our house!

Antique Store

My Dad is really into antique shopping. He'll try to blame in on my Mom but I think he enjoys it more. He likes to find old tools and things that he remembers from his childhood. He quizzes us about what his new treasures are or what they were used for. It was perfect when he found an antique store just down the freeway. After he visited it TWICE he took a few of us to check it out! It was actually very fun. I found some toys that I remember from my childhood! Does that make me an antique?!

I found a cute leather vest that fit Tori perfectly!

We sat her in this little rocking chair. It was another perfect fit. She rocked in there and didn't want to get out!

BYU Basketball

While my parents were here we went to Marie's basketball game. It is fun watching Marie and being in the huge Marriott Center! It was a great game even though BYU lost!

The girls saw Cosmo! Tori was in awe!

Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner

My family drove up for Thanksgiving week. We were so excited to be together for Thanksgiving. Then my brother Jason, who coaches at Weber State, found out that his team has a playoff game Saturday. They are leaving at 2:00 pm tomorrow! Bummer! His wife Jaime is going with him so there is no way they can come to dinner. My Dad decided that we all needed to get together for dinner. Tonight we ate at Buca di Beppo! That is some goooood food! We had a great time together!

Tori’s walking

Tori took her first steps a few weeks ago and has been practicing everyday. The kids love to get her to walk to them. They are very proud of her. The last two days her walking has exploded! She walks every where she wants now. She only crawls if she falls down and needs something to help her to her feet.

Zoe took this video Sunday. I am a little sad. It seems once they start crawling they aren't babies anymore!

I love how her arms are over her head and her breathing cracks me up!

Airplane Ride

A few Saturdays ago Adam and Nik were helping with an Eagle project at our local airport. A friend that was there too owns a small plane and told them he would take them up in it. They had an amazing time. The pilot flew like a roller coaster dropping down fast and I think they even went upside down!

What’s Cooking?!

I made this yummy, quick dessert for Adam one day. I put lots of peanuts because that's the way he likes it! It wasn't his favorite but I would make it again and he would eat it along with everyone else

I got the recipe from Real Mom Kitchen

Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert

19 ice cream sandwiches
1 carton (12 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 jar (11-3/4 ounces) hot fudge ice cream topping
1 cup salted peanuts (I used an ice cream nut topping that was a mixture of peanuts and pecans)

Cut one ice cream sandwich in half. Place one whole and one half sandwich along a short side of an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. pan. Arrange eight sandwiches in opposite direction in the pan. Spread with half of the whipped topping. Spoon fudge topping by teaspoonfuls onto whipped topping. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup peanuts. Repeat layers with remaining ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping and peanuts (pan will be full).
Cover and freeze for up to 2 months. Remove from the freezer 20 minutes before serving. Cut into squares. Yield: 15 servings.
