Ammon had his Christmas program yesterday. He has been singing and humming Christmas songs all month! He was so excited to invite me to school to hear all the songs his class learned! His favorite one was I'm Getting Nuttin' For Christmas.

Ariana sang along to the song with him since she has heard it so many times!

We made our snowflakes on Sunday when the family was here. I love the beautiful snowflakes in my window. The kids do such a great job. They are all so creative.

The little girls draw they shapes they want after it's folded and then a grown up helps them cut.

Tori is ready for Santa to come!!!

A funny from the week. This might be my favorite ever!! Britain and I were at the store and she asks what to do when someone has a headache

Me: "Why do you have a headache?

Britt: "No a girl in my class does."

Me: "Oh, that's too bad. Did she tell you in class today?"

Britt: "Yeah she said, would you please stop talking you are giving me a headache!"

I laughed and asked her again and she said it again! Oh my, it still makes me laugh!

Britain and Kalixta had their Christmas programs today. They have been practicing and waiting for this day to come!! It was so so cute! Each class sang three songs! 

Kalixta stood up there smiling the whole time!! So funny!
 

Her favorite song was Angels We Have Heard On High and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. She also had a line that she delivered perfectly!!

Britain's favorite song was The First Noel! She did a great job too. 

I love the homemade gifts the kids make at school. I love how excited they are to give something they have worked hard on. This year Zoe has been obsessed with what to make Adam that he will love. She made something for me already. Apparently I am very easy to give gifts too since I "need a lot of things!" She recruited Ammon and eventually Nik and spent hours in Ammon's room making something. I was very nervous because I hate glue, tape, and crayons to be out of my controlled kitchen but I let it go. 

Monday Zoe, Ammon and Nik decided to give us the gift early since it was a decoration. I am so glad they did! They made Santa in his sleigh with a bag of presents and all his reindeer!

Pictures don't do this gift justice. Their creativity is priceless! See the snow on the ground? The green Christmas tree all decorated?

Saturday we went to get our tree. It was softly snowing huge, wet snow flakes! The kids had more fun playing in the snow than picking out a tree but we got one. Nik carried it to the car all by himself! He was so glad I took a picture for "proof"!

Tori got so wet and dirty but loved walking around!
 

Ariana wanted the little tree because it was "little and cute like me!"

We decorated it last night for family night. We start youngest to oldest putting the first ornaments of the tree. 

Then it's a free for all with Adam adjusting each ornament until each one is perfect!

Sunday when the fam was over for dinner we made our gingerbread houses. Kenny and Marci started this tradition two years ago. Usually they have everyone come over and make them while Adam and I go out.This year it was really fun for me to be there and watch all the kids make their houses. 

I made Tori's and she ate it!

Ariana ate as many candies as she put on her house. She often had two or more candies she was eating at one time!

Britain is very proud of her creation! 

I don't think Kalixta could have put any more candy of there!

Tonight Santa came to our church's Christmas dinner! We had a great time eating as our friends shared their many talents! It was a great evening and then to top it all off everybody visited with Santa! Santa was wonderful! 

Ariana was first and was as brave as can be! She climbed on his lap and gave him a big hug. Then she asked him for a pony she can ride on! 
 

Britain loves Santa too. She wants a bunny!

When it was Kalixta's turn she started crying, but with a little coaxing she gave him a big hug and whispered in his ear what she wants him to bring. It's a secret!

Ammon asked Santa for an Elf! What?! Santa said something about if he gave his elves away who would make the toys? Perfect answer Santa!!

I am not sure what Zoe asked for. If I were to guess I would say a shirt that says "Peace"!

Nik is too big to sit on Santa's lap so Tori was the last one to see him. She just stared at him and then looked at me with a HUGE smile that I of course missed!

 

Britain, Kalixta, and Ariana love to color and draw pictures. They would spend all their extra time coloring if I would let them. Recently I let Tori color too. And she loves it!

Only problem is now when she finds a pen, pencil, or crayon on the floor she colors on the wall or floor!

Let it Snow!

It has been snowing like crazy here! I love it!! It has also been crazy cold. But I can stand that. The kids love the snow! They have been outside every extra minute on the day. Nik took Tori out yesterday so she could experience the snow for herself for the first time. He even took pictures for me!

She just sat in the snow and watched the boys play!
 

She stayed outside for about 45 minutes! Her nose and ears were so cold! She had so much fun though!
