It's that time of year again! Science projects!! I love for my kids to do science projects. It is the fun part of science. I like for them to see that. And I like doing it with them. The problem is I am a procrastinator! I leave everything to the last minute. Zoe wanted to do her's with a friend so I let go and let her do it. Ammon's we waited until two days before. Dumb, I know, but it turned out great! He had fun doing it too!

It was on black! Is Black really black?

Ammon found out that black in not just black, that it is a bunch of colors all mixed up together! The school liked it too because he got second place in his grade!

Friday night I took the kids to the awards ceremony and chemistry magic show! We had lots of fun watching a chemist from BYU do all kids of experiments where liquids would change colors or become a solid when something was added to it.  Then Ammon got called up onto the stage and was awarded a trophy and a magnet kit!

Ariana didn't think it was so fun since she fell asleep!

The rest of us had a great time and I was so proud of both my little scientists! Zoe's project was on Green Bags and whether or not they really work! Zoe and her friend did a great job and their presentation was very cute and creative. I didn't take my camera in the morning and therefore missed out on the pictures. You all know how I feel about that! BUMMER!! I hate when I do that! She said it was okay though because she is "growing out of taking pictures!" Um, not in this house missy!

Ammon's den, the Wolf's, did the flag ceremony at Pack Meeting Wednesday night. He got to carrying in and out the American flag. The whole den did a good job! They had practiced and they were ready! 

I felt so odd taking pictures, like it isn't allowed or something! And I missed when he was saluting it. Such a bummer! It would have been the perfect picture for when he gets his Eagle someday!

I spent my whole growing up years watching my brothers go through the scouting program! I watched them all earn their Eagle. I vowed that my boys would all earn their Eagles too. I also felt so jealous! They always looked like they were having so much fun as they went hiking, camping, canoeing, shooting and on and on! Boy did I ever want to go! 

Last night Nik went rock climbing with his pack! That little twinge of jealously popped up again! I wanted to go! Not that I wanted to make a fool out of myself in front of Nik and his friends or anyone else for that matter. But rock climbing sounds so fun!

Right now I am the Wolf Den leader. That is as close as I am going to get to participating in scout, besides helping my boys through the program. I love it! I love boys at the age of 8! So willing to listen and obey, so creative, so talkative and sneaky, so much fun! Guess I will take what I can get:)!

Ammon finally lost his two front teeth! They have been hanging on by a thread and it finally happened. The first one came out Monday as he lay in bed going to sleep. Yesterday we told him just wiggle wiggle wiggle that tooth so it will come out. I am a chicken when it comes to pulling teeth out. I don't think I will ever be able to do that one! He was on his own to get it out. Last night our Bishop can over for a home teaching visit. He was telling Ammon he could get that tooth out. Ammon wouldn't go near him until Bishop promised him three extra candies! Bishop always brings treats when he comes. So Ammon opened wide and his tooth went flying! He will always be able to say that the Bishop knocked his tooth out!!  

Anyways I am much happier, Ammon is back to his good looking self and the tooth fairy is a couple dollars poorer!

 

It was supposed to snow all last week! I was thrilled! I love the snow and was looking forward to sledding this weekend. But there was little snow! It was very disappointing! So when I was blog stalking and came across these super cute snowmen I had to make them! They best thing was that I had almost everything I needed in my house already!

…he lights up! So I am loving my snowman! He makes me happy when I see him! 

I couldn't find any googley eyes and just happened to have two at home. Now I need two more so I can finish making this lonely snowman a friend!

In other exciting news here. Yesterday President Monson announced they will be building a new temple in Payson! Payson is about 10 minutes south of us. I am so excited!!!! We usually go to the Provo Temple which is one of the busiest temple. It will be great to go and not have to wait. Snoopy! 

Ariana loves to play dog. She crawls around and barks instead of using words. I remember the other kids doing it but not as much as Ariana. She even named herself! First she called herself Sid (Marci and Kenny's dog) then she called herself Bella (Jason and Jaime's dog) finally Adam showed her videos of Snoopy and convinced her she looked like him. So Snoopy stuck.

Ariana won't answer if I call her Ariana and she is being Snoopy. She will quietly remind me she is Snoopy. She tells me often that I have two dogs Maisey and Snoopy. Today she was Snoopy all day long. She was by herself for a long time today. All the kids were gone or busy and Tori was napping so she curled up at my feet and took a "doggie nap, because that is what dogs do!" When Tori did wake up from her nap she got to be a dog too. Ariana named her Sprinkles! I have no idea where the name comes from, but it fits! Tori loves to crawl up and down the hallway playing with Ariana! It was so funny to watch them crawl around and then laugh and laugh!

I blew up about 50 balloons for the girls on their birthday! They woke up to find them scattered all over the living room! Why is it that when balloons are around they must be stuffed under clothes? This always happens at my house. It's inevitable and hilarious!! Jordan wore the perfect pants for stuffing balloons!

I mean, really, how many balloons are in there?!

Sunday afternoon Kalixta asked me, "If we get clothes for our birthday can we have a fashion show?" Of course!! I love fashion shows! As a funny side note: Ammon has to write a sentence for each of his spelling words each week. Today he wrote I am going to a fashion show. The spelling word is show! I thought is was so funny that he picked a fashion show to go to. Poor kid just might have too many sisters!!

Kalixta lasted longer than Britain. This is the most fun I have ever seen her have at a fashion show!

Britain and Kalixta opened a package from Adam's Mom today that was filled with goodies including these super cute shirts! They love them! Thanks Mom!

Britain and Kalixta turned 6 today!! SO hard to believe they are growing up so fast! We celebrated yesterday with a dinner they picked. Kalixta wanted frog egg salad and Britain wanted Bacon-wrapped cocktail sausages! So delicious! So I add chicken roll ups so there was a little nutrition and it was a great dinner!

Kalixta requested a Hello Kitty cake so that is what she got! She was so happy!
 

Britain wanted a chocolate cake with green frosting and butterflies and flowers. This is what I came up with! She really loved her cake!!
 

The girls and I sat at the computer today and looked at pictures from their birth until their 5th birthday. It was fun to see how they had grown and changed and the presents they got. Starting on their second birthday we notice that Britain always blew her candles out before Kalixta! This year was no exception! Britain finished blowing and was licking candles as Kalixta finally blew out her candles!

I had to include this picture because it cracks me up! Apparently it took me a long time to light the candles! Yes, I see these faces often! 

Britain and Kalixta got lots of great presents! They are great present openers like their Dad! They are very animated and get so excited over each gift. Adam and his awesome photography skill captured a few on film!

We are so lucky to have family here to celebrate with! Marie was gone with basketball and we really missed her!!

Ariana learned at church that she is a child of God. Her teachers made her a cute crown that she came home with.

This container is under Ariana's bed. Sometimes Ariana will sleep in it. One night the girls put Tori in it with and pillow and blanket and I couldn't get her out! She loves sitting in it and will often climb in it when she sees it. She always wants a pillow and blanket too!
