Sometimes I like our Maisey dog and other times she is just a bug! But my kids love her! She is a good dog and lets them maul her. 

Pictures like this one just melt my heart!

We played with play dough a number of times during spring break! The best thing was that we made it ourselves!! The girls had a lot of fun with that. We made a kool-aid flavored one so it smell so good. Maybe not a good idea for my play-dough eating little Ariana!

Here's the recipe, try it out!!

Flour 3cups
Salt 1 1/2 cups
Water 3 cups
Vegetable Oil 2TB.
Cream of tartar 1TB.
unsweetened "Kool-Aid" 1pkg.

Mix ALL of the ingredients in a large saucepan.
Cook over medium low heat, until the dough comes away 
from the edges of the pan and it becomes difficult to move the spoon. Remove from heat. Cool until it can be handled.
Place on counter or wax paper knead 3-4 times.
Store in an air tight container.

We survived spring break last week and everybody is back to the normal routine! I miss having nothing to do but it is nice to be more structured again. Since the kids had no school we took the time to go to Michelle's art show. Michelle is my sister in law and an amazing artist. She is finishing up her degree. She had an art show that we went to. It was fun to see her painting hanging in a museum! She really is amazing!!

We then went to the park and had a picnic. The kids spent most of the time pushing or being pushed on the swings! Tori especially loved them!

We even had time for a little baseball! I can't wait for the season to start!!
 

It was a fun day!!!
 

Without a doubt this is my favorite activity on Easter! Confetti eggs are so much fun!! I love love love it!!

Adam put a little video together to show you what goes on during our confetti fights! But first a little warning! The camera is moving a lot and it is sometimes a little blurry and so it might make you sick! So watch at your own risk!!! 

We had family and friends come over on Friday evening for food, an egg hunt, confetti eggs and fun! We did it Friday because of Conference Saturday and Sunday and I was sure glad we did! Even in the evening it had the best weather by far. Adam made my favorite, carne asada! Oh, how I love that stuff. Once everyone was full the Easter Bunny came and hide eggs all over the yard.

We had a marvelous Easter today! The kids woke up early to see what the Easter Bunny had brought them!

The Easter Bunny brought all the kids Operation!

Last week the family came over and helped my dye all the confetti eggs! I started saving early this year. Plus we eat tons of eggs so we ended up with 51 dozen eggs! That is the most ever!!!

We had so much fun dying them!

This was Tori's real first time dying. She lasted for about 5 minutes! She was very amazed!

Since the eggs are hollow they get filled with water that Tori loved to drink! Good thing it was just vinegar, water and food coloring!

Ariana had a blast! Michelle helped her not break anything!

Now THAT is a lot of eggs!! Marci organized and color coordinated them!

Once they are dry, Britain and Kalixta help me fill them with confetti and flour!

Two years ago I saw on a friend's blog that she does Backward's Day instead of April's Fools Day. I loved that idea. Teaching my kids to trick will only come back to haunt me in a few years! So we started Backward's Day today by having dessert for breakfast! The kids loved having strawberry shortcake in the morning!

Tori and Ariana had their clothes on backwards for the day but since everyone else had school that didn't work well! 

We then had breakfast for dinner which I love! I made yummy pancakes and homemade syrups! Oh they were so good!

Strawberry jam! My mom just sent me this recipe and it is delicious! 

Hot Pancake Topping
 
Melt   1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine in a  heavy
saucepan. 
Stir in 1/2 cup of honey and
         1/2 cup raspberry
preserve or apricot preserves or orange marmalade
Heat, stirring constantly
until mixture boils.

The white one is Buttermilk syrup found here!

Ariana had a friend come over today and play. Everybody had a great time being "Mom" and pushing Tori around in a little plastic shopping cart! She loves it too.

Tori's "cheese" face is too funny! She is saying cheese the whole time too!

Tori's hair is all pulled back into one ponytail! I don't think I like it too much.

These girls crack me up!

Today I let Tori play in a sink full of bubbles! She had a blast and got soaked!

I tried to show her how to blow bubbles with a straw but she would just suck! Gross!

She thought it was pretty funny though and splash big getting water and bubbles all over her face!

She is saying "cheese" so I will take the picture! I think that face is hilarious!!
