I love the excitement of Halloween! The kids were so excited to dress up. The older ones got to dress up for school but they can't wear makeup so that is a bummer. For the real dress up day I always rely on Marci and Michelle to do makeup! They are so artistic and do an amazing job! 

Ariana couldn't wait to get her make up on! She sat so patiently through the whole thing!

She wanted to be a Tiger again this year. She said that is what she wanted to be before I got the Halloween boxes out and even after going through them and looking at all her options she still wanted to be the tiger! I think she makes the best tiger EVER!

Ammon wanted to be a vampire but he had to wear the skeleton outfit! Doesn't he look frightening??!!

She loved her costume!

Tori was a princess! She would tell anyone who would listen to her what she was! She loved getting makeup put on!

Tori spent the whole morning sick with a fever on the sofa. She just slept and slept! She did enjoy trick-or-treating a lot but she only went out a little while! It was probably because she didn't feel well or it could be because it was cold and wet everywhere. Right before the kids were ready to go out it started hailing! It was a crazy hard hail and then it turned to rain for a while so the kids were really worried. But it cleared up and was a nice night, just wet!

Kalixta decided to be a pirate after changing her mind every time I pulled out a new costume! I thought it was pretty funny and she turned out great!

Zoe had a hard time deciding what to be! I wasn't too shocked when she decided to be a hippe!

Nik was Woody from Toy Story! Michelle made this costume a few years ago! It's a little crazy it fits him so well! 

Jordan and Michelle took the younger girls trick-or-treating and got candy and lots of comments on their awesome costumes! I'm sure you can tell but Michelle is Alice in Wonderland and Jordan is the Mad Hatter! The picture doesn't do his costume justice! They both looked amazing!

Marie also helped take the kids out. She dressed as a nerd for a thing the BYU Basketball team did so she of course had to dress up for us too!

The Platt Family was so cute!! Kenny was cop and Marci and the baby were jail birds! He was in an orange jumpsuit so cute!!!

Pumpkin carving night is highly anticipated in our house! The kids are excited for days! This year did not disappoint! There is always lots of help that night which I really really appreciate! The kids worked hard getting all the guts out!

Britain let us scrub the paint off her pumpkin from school so that Tori would have one to carve! She did not like cleaning the pumpkin out, but had a good time carving it and playing with it!

This is kinda a random post on two kids. First of all, Ariana went to the pumpkin patch with her preschool class. They got to go on a hay ride and everything! She had a great time! It was the "best day ever!" Here she is with her painted pumpkin!

She got an awesome coloring book at the pumpkin patch that she needed to take a picture with!

Our awesome preschool director (He he, you like that title Denise!) made all the girls matching shirts for going on field trips!! Isn't it cute??!! Great job Denise! Thank You!!!

Nik, oh that boy makes me laugh and want to pull my hair out all at the same time! Long ago when Adam and I were first married we were going through Adam's clothes! He had this hideous shirt right out of the 80's that he refuse to get rid of. "It will be used again someday!" So we put it in the Halloween box. Well, he was right! It got used Thursday! Nik wore it to school. Nik found it when we got all the Halloween stuff out Monday night and he liked it!

He said he got lots of comments on the shirt! Some people liked it and some thought it was weird, but most agreed that the collar was weird! 

Ammon got his Wolf Badge tonight at pack meeting. He has been waiting three months to get this. We haven't been to pack night in that long! Isn't that horrible?! We finally made it and he was quite pleased to sit with the Bear Den and get his award! He also got a gold and 5 silver arrow points!

Way to go Ammon!!

Our sweet friends have a little girl Tori's age. They refer to her as spicy! I love this description! I would have to put Tori in that category too. She is a girl who knows her mind and will NOT allow anyone to change it!! She likes things her way and her way alone! This causes a few fights around our house since I can't let her do everything she wants. She has learned this ear piercing scream that makes everyone in our house take a step back from what they are doing! Sometimes it is funny! Sometime annoying! Sometimes cute!

This is an example of when it is cute! Adam was laying on the sofa so I put Tori on top of his back to play with him. Well, that girl decided she liked it there and refused to get off. Adam tried every trick he knew. Asking nicely. Telling sternly. Pretending to be hurt. Saying he needed to go! Nothing work. She sat there pretending she wasn't sitting on him and couldn't hear him. It was pretty funny!! I had to snap a picture before I came to his rescue!!

She is pretty proud of herself!!

We celebrated Tori's birthday Sunday with all the family and some friends over. She had a great time! She was a little hesitant to open presents at first, but that didn't last long!

She got this microphone that she LOVES! It plays lots of different songs she can sing along to and it records. The best is her butt shaking that she does when she dances! So cute!!

She of course got lots of cards and lots of kisses!

Zoe, Ammon, Britain, and Kalixta all got a pumpkin from school. I local farmer donated a pumpkin for each student! That is a lot of pumpkins! The school decided they would have a pumpkin decorating contest. The kids had to decorate the pumpkin like a character from a book! I called Michelle! She is the best at that and has tons of supplies! They all sketched out what they wanted and then started!

Ariana and Tori are always in on any painting! Love that tongue sticking out!

Tori painted a few pictures and then decided to paint her nails! Too cute, that girl!

Ammon's was so cool but he had a hard pumpkin. It was really bumpy therefore so hard to draw/paint on. It is all the characters from The Wimpy Kid! His pictures were well done and really looked like the book! We love love love that book!

Zoe's was awesome! It's the Cheshire Cat! Thanks for the help Michelle ! I could NOT have done that without you!!

Tori turned two today! She loved having everyone tell her Happy Birthday! She usually told them Happy Birthday back!! We had a busy day so we will celebrate her birthday properly on Sunday. The kids got mad at me for not making a cake today and Sunday so I got her some Zingers and we sang to her!

She sang the whole time we sang to her, it was so cute!!! She blew out one candle fast and had a hard time with the last one she almost gave up! She did get it in the end with lots of yells of encouragement! 

Those Zingers are sure good!

I have seen lots of pictures with the birthday child holding up their hand with their age displayed. I love these shots of Tori doing that!

Tomorrow is Tori's birthday! I can't believe she is going to be 2! She is an amazing, fun, stubborn, little girl that I can't imagine my life without! She keeps me laughing all day long! The poor girl though, being the youngest of seven, often has to take what she can get! I have been so busy packing and cleaning the last month on top of everything else sometimes the girl has to fend for herself. This displays itself when I find her asleep in the weirdest places!

She finished her lunch and just got comfy and went to sleep!

We were reading books in her room when I had to go to the bathroom. I swear I was only gone for a minute!

She is underneath the computer in the kitchen! I was probably blogging and she got tired of waiting for me!

Did you notice a difference in the pictures of Kalixta at the pumpkin patch and the ones of her at Adam's birthday and the carnival? That is right Kalixta lost something!!! Her tooth!

Her tooth was getting looser and looser. On Sunday it was still hanging on. She decided she would ask our Bishop to pull it out. She thought of this because he pulled out Ammon's tooth way back when.  We got to church and she went with Adam to find him. She came running back to me with a huge blood filled smile!! Bishop was busy so she found the next best thing, Bro McHargue! He is the counselor and a good friend. He just popped it out! She was thrilled! I love her toothless grin!
