When we went to pick out our tree the sweet owner gave each of the kids a tree branch to take home to be their very own Christmas tree. Ariana was a little mad that their wasn't any decoration left for her tree so she made her own! She spent hours in her room drawing, cutting and and arranging her ornaments on her tree. When I went to throw it out she was very upset!! Taking a picture with it made it a little better. As I walked out the door she ran up calling to her tree, "Good-bye old friend!"

Yes, that is a star on top! There were more ornaments when she first did her tree. A little sister and a Mom who doesn't like messes might, just might have thrown one or two away!!

Before Jordan, Michelle, Marci, and Kenny left to CA for Christmas Michelle planned a fun craft for the kids. Foam Art!!! She used a mixture of shaving cream and elmer's glue to make snowmen. The kids started by drawing their snowmen then they filled them in with the mixture!

It was really so fun!!! Then it got a little out of control when Jordan pushed a snowman into my face!!

Don't worry Jordan got what he deserved!!

We got so much snow before Christmas that the last two days of school were canceled! I heard that was the first time in 20 years the school district has canceled school! I was up and shoveled out so decided to take the kids, they hadn't made any announcements yet! I got almost all the way before I heard the radio casually mention that school was canceled! I was a little mad and the kids a little disappointed. They came home and made the best of it by playing and playing in the snow!!

Nik and Ammon made a slope for sledding. Nik wanted to go say good bye before he left to CA and it melted!

The next snow storm brought lots of snow which Ammon and Kalixta made into a snow man!

Since today in the last day of the break I thought I would take the kids sledding! It was a bit chilly but we had a great time!! 

This is how Ariana likes to go down!! She is quite the big girl as she treks up the hill!

Britain loves this slide because it turns the whole way down!

I had to take a post to tell you all what a sweet husband I have. Then I think this might be my last Christmas post! Adam is NOT a present wrapper! The first year we knew each other we were dating, 1998. That was the first time Adam ever wrapped a present! This year he went out of his way to wrap my gifts! Not only that he handmade the bows! They turned out so adorable!!!

He did a great job! I got some great gifts this year; dishes, hair dryer, curling iron, some hair books, lotions, a cute bag, baking molds and The Hunger Games. Thanks to all for the thoughtful gifts!! Especially my sweet, talented husband for putting a little extra into the wrapping!! 

Kids are always playing super hero at my house!! This always involves a cape. Sometimes it is Nik's button up shirts buttoned around a neck. Sometimes it is a blanket or towel. One day I came across a homemade cape on a blog. They were so cute! When my Mom asked what they kids wanted for Christmas I sent her an email! She did an amazing job on the capes and all the kids love love love theirs!

When he is done being a super hero he just packs it up and it's a pillow! It is perfect and he thinks my Mom is a genius!!

Everyone has had a great time playing with their toys and each other toys! It has been fun to listen to them pretend with each other. 

Ariana wanted a Po doll so bad! She has barely let the thing out of her sight!

Her Dora house has been a BIG hit too!!

All kids younger kids got a play-doh set that they love to play with! I am kinda wondering what I was thinking but they are getting well used!

Ammon got a Lego army set. He really enjoys building and taking this apart!

Tori loves her new farm!! 

Adam got a new game table and Electronic Monopoly. We have had a great time playing! 

New clothes for all my girls are a treat too! (I think I may be in trouble in the future years!)

We had a wonderful Christmas! The kids let me sleep in until 7:50!! That alone was great!! The kids were fun to watch open gifts!

The note from Santa! 

Tori had a weird Christmas. She wasn't ready to get up at first but then seemed fine as we opened presents! Halfway through her stocking she decided she was done and went off to watch Strawberry Shortcake on the computer! She came back when all the presents were open and finished opening hers! She loved everything and just wanted to play with what she had opened!

Ariana asked for very specific things! I was so excited to be able to get her some of those things and watch her open them! She had, "the best Christmas ever!"

Britain got a vet play set! She wants to be a vet so she loved it! She loved everything she got and has been busy, busy!!

Kalixta found the pickle this year so she got to open the first gift! She was excited!!

Ammon got all he wanted and more! He was a happy boy!

Zoe was hard to buy for this year. She didn't want much and was very undecided! One thing she wanted was the Dork Diaries Series! She got it and is already finished reading both of them!!

Adam and I got wonderful gifts too! Thank you to Grandmas and Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles and dear friends who made the day truly special! A big thank you to all!

My brother Jeff got all the girls new Christmas dresses for Christmas and he gave Ammon a new church shirt! They looked so good all matchy matchy at church today! We had to take pictures of course. I am just sad that Nik is missing!

I love the feelings this season brings! I love the constant reminder of the birth of our Savior! I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas filled with family, friends, and love! Love you all!!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve spent decorating cookies for Santa, pictures later, I need to wrap! And with our family and sweet friends! Couldn't ask for more! I feel very loved and blessed to have so much!

As usual Grandma Mike sent pajamas for all the kids to open tonight and look cute for pictures tomorrow! The kids LOVE them! Thanks Grandma!
