Saturday we went to watch Marie play basketball. I love going to her games!

It is great watching her play! We are so proud of her!!!

During one of the media time outs Ammon and Ariana were asked to go down on the court to do the Chicken Dance. Ammon took a lot of convincing or bribing! I had to promise him a whole pack of gum! Once he went down Ariana was happy to follow! They did a good job! It is a little hard to see my small little Ari girl. She is in the bright green shirt! She tripped as she ran off the court which is a huge joke between Adam and I that is why I am laughing so hard. The Beck athletes use their whole hearts and bodies when they play sports. This means that we are often on the ground. Whether because we tripped or sacrificed our bodies it doesn’t matter. Watching our kids play now it is the same way. They end up on the ground a lot of the time! Much more than other kids. It always makes us laugh and say, those are the Beck genes right there!! So enjoy a little Chicken Dance!

When they were down waiting Tori wanted to go too. It was too late and she is a little too little so I wouldn’t let her go which led to a big pout!

Ammon is playing basketball right now. We have never done basketball. I wish I would have got Nik interested. He loves it now. Anyway, Ammon is having a blast and learning lots of stuff.

All the boys wear those wrist bands to help them figure out who to guard. It is a pretty smart system.

The other day Adam and I were in his office talking and Ariana came in wanting to read us her story she wrote! It was too cute not to post. Enjoy Ariana's version of the Goldilocks and The Three Bears. It is pretty funny!

I saw this cake on a blog about a week ago and I knew it was perfect for the girls' birthday! It was popcorn with M&M's and pretzels. I kept it a secret and it drove this kids nuts!! I was so very excited! I wanted the cakes to be a little different and so I came up with a plan. It turned out great! The cakes were delicious and Kalixta and Britain loved them!!

Britain's cake was made of marshmallow. This is the one I saw on a blog here!

I switched Kalixta's up and made it a caramel cake. It still had the M&M's and pretzels and I just used my Mom's homemade caramel popcorn recipe!

The cakes were a great, fun treat but all in all I wouldn't do them again for a birthday! I would do it for a movie treat or just a fun anytime treat! Try it and enjoy!!!

Today my twins celebrated their 7th birthday! Crazy! I hate that they are getting so old, but I also love watching them grow and change and become their own person! They are each so different and unique it is fun to be a part of their lives! 

First we celebrated on Sunday with their dinner choice. They wanted frog egg salad and little smokies wrapped in bacon. I decided they were missing a little something so I rounded the meal out with teriyaki chicken. It was delicious!! 

They got to open a few presents and were very excited!!

They also got fabric to make into their own blankets!

They were so funny as we were singing Happy Birthday they sang it too but said to me! 

They got the coolest popcorn cakes! They loved them!

Today we opened the rest of the presents and had ice cream. They had a great few days and are so happy to be seven!!

I love these sweet crazy girls!!

Tonight for a family activity we made a special kind of snowflake! My kids love love to make snowflakes so when I saw this fun idea on a different blog I had to try it! 

First you take a tortilla and fold it into fourths! Then you take your scissors and cut out your design!

Then you spread butter on it and sprinkle a cinnamon and sugar mixture on them. Broil in the oven for just a few minutes and eat!

They are good and so so fun!! We couldn't do just one!

Tori, like most 2 year olds, is a great mess maker! She loves to play games and with her toys and she just leaves mess after mess. She is slowly learning to be a great cleaner too. Her teacher at church says she is the best cleaner in her class! That makes a proud Momma!!

Sometimes she has unique cleaning ideas. One day she played with the Guess Who? game. After she was done there was a big mess. She got Adam's brush he uses to put BBQ sauce on when he BBQ's and she used it as a broom! It worked very well!!

One of the most fun things about being a Mom is watching true joy and surprise when my kids experience something new! This happened the other day when I popped popcorn in an air popper! Tori was amazed!!

Nik finally made it home! He was gone for Christmas and then a snow storm that hit Vegas and CA shut down the roads and made him two days late!

As soon as he got home the kids wanted him to open his presents! The presents had been teasing the kids since Christmas! He was really excited to get a really cool watch!

Ammon gave him these cool bracelets that have bugs in them!

He had a lot of fun posing for the picture with all his stuff!!!!

His Uncle Jeff bought him this cool coat at the thrift store! He loves it, can you tell?

My sweet Zoe turned 11 today! So very hard to believe she could possible be that old!! I won't even mention that she is a preteen!! What?!?!

She had a great day! She wanted crepes for her special dinner! Everyone loved her choice!

She got everything she wanted and more! Zoe wanted this boots sooooo bad! Can you tell she is a little excited?!

She also got fleece sheets! Her room is so cold so these are perfect! 

She got new clothes which are always good!!

She just wanted ice cream tonight! She will have her cake Sunday! The kids thought it was funny to have candles in ice cream! 

I am so lucky to be the Mom of this sweet girl who loves life so much and is so much fun!
