Ouch!

Wednesday night I was at my friends house with the kids. Nik wanted to go home so I let him walk. About 20 minutes later Adam calls me saying Nik really hurt himself and I needed to come home and take him to the ER! I was super worried and hurried home. Nothing prepared me to see my huge son laying on the floor whithering in pain!! It was terrible. His knee cap was NOT where is was supposed to be! Somehow he popped his knee cap back and so with a little help loading him in the car I took him to the ER!

After a few hours at the hospital and an x-ray later it was decided that he dislocated his patella (knee cap)! He has to wear a brace on his knee for a week and he is using crutches!!

He toughed it out and went to school on Thursday. He came home with very sore arm pits!! Today he didn’t have school and has spent the day shuffling between the bathroom, computer and tv.

Poor guy was bored stiff!! Next week I have to take him to a Orthopedic Surgeon to see how bad the ligament damage is. Hopefully he will heal perfectly and fast!!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

We had a super fun day dressing in green, eating corn beef and green mashed potatoes. We had green soda with our dinner.

We enjoyed delicious mint brownie cupcakes after dinner made by Tori and Ariana!

Adam worked hard making and setting a trap to catch a leprechaun!

He was successful! He caught the leprechaun but that sneaky little guy got away, but he left the kids some yummy green treats!!

They were SUPER excited!!

The girls even had fancy cute hair!

A four leaf clover.

And a shamrock!

Hope you day was fun too!!

Spirit Week

Crazy hair day was just one of the fun days last week! The kids really get into spirit week  because any excuse not to wear their uniform is a great one!

Monday was Crazy Sock Day!

They also had Crazy Hat Day!

And Decade Day! They had a lot of fun with this day too!

Britain and Kalixta are hippies with their Peace clothes! Zoe was 90’s I guess, when I was a teenager! We pegged her jeans and she had three different color socks that matched her shirt. I teased her bangs up and teased the back of her hair! I wish I had a better picture, because she looked good!!

Ammon was wearing the wrong jacket in the above picture. I found Adam’s letterman jacket for him to wear. It is way big but I love it with his slicked back hair!!

Crazy Hair Day

This week at the kids’ school it is spirit week. Today is my favorite of all those days, crazy hair day! It is everyone’s favorite. I have to say, my kids looked AWESOME!!

Zoe had a bunhawk!!

Ammon had half spiked and half neat! I love it!

Britain loved her do!

Zoe said Kalixta had the best hair in the school!

19 Year Anniversary

Today is the 19th anniversary of Adam joining the church! I decided that this was a day to celebrate! I wanted to do a fancy dinner that would be reminiscent of when he was baptized! I also wanted to make a delicious dessert to help everyone remember what a special occasion that was. BUT Tuesday is my day to teach scouts and it makes me busy busy!! Adam is also feeling terrible!! He wouldn’t have been able enjoy any of it!! He is so sick! It is awful!

I couldn’t let the day go by unrecognized. I made the kids root beer floats and told them a little history of Adam joining the church and why it is important to them!

I am so very thankful for this man who changed everything to be a member of this church! I am so grateful to be married to him for time and all eternity.

Happy 19th Anniversary!!!

Balloon Animals!

My sister, Marci, was in charge of a carnival activity at church. She asked Adam to do balloon animals. He hasn’t done them in a while so he needed a little practice! All the kids were happy to play with all his experiments and practices!

Here are a few of my favs!

A bunny

A flower corsage!

A frog!

Heart hat

Flower

Helicopter hat!

A baseball cap.

Jester hat!

We had so so so much fun! And he did a great job at the carnival!

Wacky W

I was able to do preschool this week because a cute little baby was sick! Poor guy! I loved how it worked out because I got W week and we celebrated Dr. Seuss. We had so so much fun. I love to watch Ariana interact with her friends. I love to see her learn and LOVE that moment when she “gets” it! It is wonderful watching Tori enjoy preschool and being a big girl! Too bad I didn’t get any pictures of her!

This week we painted with worms!

The girls colored and then cut out W’s. It is such a skill to cut!

In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday the girls had Wacky Hair Day!

We also made Horton!

This was probably the girls’ favorite activity!

MWC Champs

Saturday was Marie’s last home game. It was a great game to go to. BYU won making them Mountain West Conference Champs! My Mom came down for the weekend so all my Utah family was at the game. They also honored all the seniors, yet another reason why it was a great game!!

After the game Marie and Mom went to the center of the court while Marie was presented with flowers and a picture of her playing. I love this picture of Mom clapping for Marie because our Mom has been and still is our biggest fan! She has driven 7 kids to countless practices and games. She has sat and watched game after game, never tiring of watching her kids play! For years and years! She is amazing! Marie is pretty amazing too! She has been an academic honor’s athlete all fours years she has been at BYU. I am thankful to have a sister like Marie! Since they were conference winners they got to cut down the net. Each player took a turn cutting their piece! We snuck in a family picture while we were down on the court!

Another favorite picture of mine is Marie signing autographs! Love it!!

Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!!

I like to celebrate. Anything really. Sometimes we do something big but most of the time it is just small. Like today. Just a day to celebrate an amazing mind. A few years ago Zoe did a book report on Dr. Seuss and I really enjoyed learning about him.

Today is Dr Seuss day. We read Dr. Seuss books.

Ammon made a snitch at school!

We had green eggs and ham for dinner!

I amazed my kids with green jello eggs for dessert!

I was really cool until I made everyone do their chores!

Nothing big but it is a memory. A memory that I hope my kids will have to look back on and think that their childhood was fun! I saw this post on another blog the other day and realized I was missing out on a whole lot of random holiday! Should be a fun year!

National Pancake Day

Today is National Pancake Day according to IHOP. I know I celebrated on a different day last year because it was on the calendar. I was very excited when I thought it was last week and having to wait a week was hard! I know, I am a little wacko!

I found an easy way to make heart pancakes.

The kids loved them and all I used was this!

I had a bottle like this only yellow. I cut the top to make it a little bigger hole and it worked perfectly. It would be great for letters or numbers, really anything!

I also made three different syrups, buttermilk, cinnamon and peach raspberry.

They were all so delicious I couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried!
