Love

There are so many things I love about about my little newborn.

His hands.

His toes!

His squishy faces!

And of course his hair! Michael has the cutest cowlick in the front of his hair. It goes is a little circle!

I am totally in love with this kid!

Happy Father’s Day

We celebrated Father’s day a week early so Adam could receive all the love his deserves on his special day. He had his choice of dinner and dessert. He asked for ice cream cake that Zoe loved helping make!

He got lots of treats from all the kids!

Lots of cards too.

Tori planted herself on his lap and didn’t move so she could help with everything!

We had a great time celebrating what a great Daddy he is! I couldn’t ask for anything more!! He is an amazing Father!

Yesterday at church the kids filled out a little questionnaire about their Daddy. They made us laugh. Marie suggested I do this every year to see how their ideas of their Daddy change. Hopefully I remember because I love that idea!

According to Kalixta her Dad is 39, and loves to eat and work! He doesn’t like to take out the trash or die! She said, “The best thing about my Dad is he loves me so much.” and “I know my Dad loves me because I know he does!”

Ammon knew his Dad was 39 too. According to Ammon Dad loves to eat peanuts and chew gum. He doesn’t like to be mad at Ammon! Ammon says, “The best thing about my Dad is he is nice to me.” and “I know my Dad loves me because I am Ammon!”

Britain said her Dad was 29 and loves to be silly. He doesn’t like to clean! She says, “The best thing about my Dad is being my Dad.” and “I know my Dad loves me because I love him.”

Lastly Zoe knew her Dad was 39 too. He loves to be awesome and help us! He doesn’t like to be mean! She says, “The best thing about my Dad is he is super nice and cool. And he gives us candy!” and “I know my Dad loves me because he gives us candy and he take care of us!”

The kids are right, their Dad is pretty awesome! I am thankful for Adam and his attention to details that sometimes drives me nuts but makes our family run smoother and makes us all happier! I am grateful that he takes us to church and fulfills the role as patriarch in our home! I am grateful that each day he tries to be better in every way!! I love you Adam and couldn’t imagine life without you!!

Introducing Michael!

The kids were so so excited to come to the hospital to meet their baby brother. The oldest five were there just an hour after he was born.

When we called the kids to tell them Michael was a boy, Zoe automatically asked, “Is it a boy?!” She was pretty happy when I answered YES!

Could those smiles get any bigger?!

The nurse came to take Michael for his bath. The kids all got to go watch at the window. When he came back, his blood sugar levels were low so Nik got to feed him a bottle!

Marci brought Ariana and Tori with her. Ariana was thrilled to see Baby Michael!

Tori just woke up from the car ride and did not like anyone or anything. She barely wanted to see me! She would not let me touch her with the hand I had a band-aid on. She didn’t want anything to do with Michael! I was worried but after a while she did warm up and hold him. But I didn’t get a picture! So sad! Hopefully Marci got a good one!

It’s A Boy!!!

Who wouldn’t have guessed?!?! Well, I kinda knew but I was still completely blown away when the nurse told us that it was what I thought and the Dr. laughed that the boy was peeing on him!

We are home, happy, and loving our Michael Beck Basua!!

There will be more details and pictures later but for now here is the…

Before…

And after!

Michael Beck Basua

Born at 2:18pm on June 14, 2011. 9 pounds even and 21 and 1/2 inches long.

Loving my family!!!

Ariana’s Busy Days

Ariana has had a lot of fun staying with my sister, Marci, while the kids finish school! She keeps super busy during the days keeping us to date with what Tori, Sid, Marci’s dog and KP are doing.

One sunny afternoon she went out and relaxed with Sid. I had to grab the camera! I love these pictures!

They are through the screen door so they are a little weird, but so cute. This is how she was relaxing  before she saw me!

She has also been getting some practice in baby care! She takes out diapers, gets toys, picks out outfits and watching out for KP. She even gets to feed him!!

Every time she wanted him to open his mouth she opened hers. It was too cute!!

Ammon’s Program

Ammon had his end of the year program last night! It was a great night! Ammon had a great time.

He loved learning the haka in class. I often heard him chanting in the car!

Happy 14th Birthday Nik

Nik turned 14 on Sunday!! Hard to believe!! My baby is growing up!! He got to party all weekend long!! Saturday Adam made him ribs and a yummy chocolate cake with carmel, whipped cream and Twix on top!

He got lots of love….

And lots of good treats!

Then on Sunday he got another favorite dinner, sweet and sour meatballs. Michelle and Jordan made him an amazing cake!!!

Is that the coolest looking hamburger cake ever!!!! Nik couldn’t wait to dig in!!

The lettuce, cheese, pickles and tomatoes looked so real! It really was awesome! Thanks again guys!!

Adam and KP helped him blow out the candles.

Happy Happy birthday Nik!! We sure LOVE you!!

Nine People In April

I a little late I know, but better late than never, right? March I didn’t get a picture and was a little disappointed. But a new month and a new opportunity!!

This month’s picture was easy anyways because of Easter!

And another one just for fun!

We love our Easter tradition!!

Baseball Season

Baseball season is in full swing here. It makes for a crazy week but I love it! I really enjoy watching my boys play. I grew up in a sports crazy house! Someone was always playing some sport. It is exactly how I wanted my family to be!

Ammon is on the padres! He is in the big boy league now. The boys pitch to each other so there are a lot of walks and a lot of strike outs! And they keep score which he loves! Ammon is in the walking category, but he in not afraid to swing at a good pitch. He hasn’t got a hold of one yet, but the way that boy swings it won’t be long!

Nik is playing for the Mets again this year. He had a slow start to the season with his knee injury but now he is playing without limitations and is having fun. He got his first hit last night!

Adam is playing softball on Wednesdays. He is having a good time playing minus those 40 pounds!!

Doesn’t he look great pitching!!

Black Eye

Ammon had a first this weekend. He got his first black eye. And even better he got it from his Dad!!

Adam took the boys to the park to play a little baseball. Ammon was batting and didn’t move when the ball came straight at his face!

This is as bad as it got! I was shocked that is didn’t discolor more. Today he is back to normal and the best part, he has no fear in the batting box!
