Jeff’s Wedding: Setting Up

The BIG reason for coming to CA was to go to Jeff’s Wedding! Jeff had been dating Kylie for a while and we all LOVED her so we were ecstatic when he asked her to marry him and she said yes!

The wedding was on Saturday so we spent Friday setting up for the reception. While the adults worked, the kids played. Kalixta drew a picture for the soon to be newlyweds!

The little portraits are my favorite!

Back To School So Soon?!

I have been busy busy getting the kids ready to go back to school. And trying to use the last days of summer to their fullest! I have very mixed feelings about sending the kids back to school. They will start a new school. It is an awesome school and I am excited but feeling a little like summer was too short! We did so many fun things but just like every summer we didn’t do all the things I wanted to and so I feel like it was too short!

Zoe will be starting Junior High School! That is a little bit crazy!

Ariana will be starting kindergarten! It is all day and she is thrilled about that! All day without an I love you from her will be hard on me!

The kids will all be at the same school though the junior high section is separate!

Tuesday will be the big day! AND the sad day! I don’t now what Tori is going to do! Probably have a party:)!

I have also be getting ready for Back to School on Hairstyles By Mommy. If you haven’t checked it out already stop by and let me know what you think!!

Don’t worry there will be pictures and stories of the big day soon enough!!

Ammon’s Fabulous Blog

I went to Grandma Mike’s house last week for dinner. The whole family came. I made a rock person.

His head is too big for his body.

I made this guy too!

Everyone copied me and made one too.

This is Tori’s.

This one is Britain’s.

This one is Ariana’s.

This one is Zoe’s.

KP’s Party!

We got to help KP, my nephew, celebrate his first birthday!! He is such a smart, cute boy and I love him to death!

Happy Happy Birthday Buddy!!

KP didn’t like his cake too much, but Tori thought is was great!!

There was this really weird dude at the party!

But Adam made friends with him!

Just kidding! That is Kenny’s brother! He is such a  joker!

Ventura County Fair

My Mom, sister and I took the kids to the Ventura County fair last week. We had a fun time looking at all the displays and animals.

Feeding the 4-H animals is a favorite for the kids!

They love to pet and touch the animals too!

This little goat really liked Nik!!

This was Zoe’s favorite sheep because of it’s curly hair!

The horses were another favorite! They liked touching them but really moved fast if the horse moved! They didn’t like getting licked!

Tori liked to look at all the animals, but she didn’t want to touch any of them! She finally did touch the horse and kinda liked it!!

Kalixta thought this big tractor was pretty cool even if it was the wrong color!

The kids thought these cut outs where too cute!!

My grandma, Aunt Carol and Cousins Nola and Xoche met us there!

We had a great time! Even the trip to and from the fair was great because we got to take the bus!!!

Beach Time

Living in Oxnard we never really appreciated the beach! Granted my kids were younger but still, we rarely went to the beach. Now we do!! We have gone at least once a week since we have been here!! The kids all love the beach except for Zoe. She finds the beach cold and windy!! She has fun some of the time but we always stay too long for her liking!

One day we went to a beach that has a ship with a rope slide on it. The younger kids had a great time on the rope. The only problem was there were too many people! They each got a turn though!

Britain looks a little scared but had a great ride!

Ammon LOVED it! Grandma was a great help loading the kids on the rope. And Marie was sweet to help them pull the rope back up for the next person! She also made sure nobody fell off!Ariana liked it but once was enough!!Once was not enough for Tori! She wanted to go again and again and again!

The kids had a great time playing in the waves!

Tori loves to play in the sand but don’t take her near the water!!! She completely freaks out!!!

I love this picture! I need to get one of all the kids!

Nik found a little jelly fish in the water!

This was not Michael’s first trip to the beach but it was the first one he got out of his car seat! He did not like the wind!!!

Ammon’s Fabulous Blog

I am happy to be back. When we were first here in California I went to the Fiesta. The Fiesta is at my Grandma and Grandpa’s church. We always go on rides and play a baseball game and eat food. Grandma and Grandpa had an ice cream booth so I got lots of ice cream cones.

At the Fiesta I went on a really scary ride. It is called The Hammer.

It went upside down. It was fun but scary.

My cousin Mariyah went on the ride with me because no one else would! She was scared too! Thanks Mariyah!

I love the Fiesta!

Pool Time

We’ve been able to go swimming a few times here! The kids always have a great time! They really love the water and have gotten so brave in a year’s time!

Tori just likes watching all the fun!

Michael relaxing by the pool.

Petty Zoo

On the way to CA we had to make a bathroom stop and happened to find this cute little petting zoo at a gas station. It was a fun break from the car!

Adam got to feed the animals.

Britain was not afraid of any of the animals.

Ammon and Kalixta were pretty brave too.

Tori did not want to touch the animals. She only liked them from a distance or from Nik’s arms!

Entertaining the kids in the car is always an adventure. On this trip I grab a huge bag of stickers from my Aunt Audry and paper to stick them on. The kids decided they didn’t need the paper!

It kept them pretty quite! Some of the stickers did make it on the paper. It was a great idea!!
