Face Painting and Barry Bonds

The kids have to get their faces painted at the Fiesta! I like to do it first thing Saturday morning so they can have it all day long!

Tori asked for a heart since she loves the Fiesta!

Zoe got a cool ice cream come!

Ariana thought that was a good idea and got one too!

I loved Britain’s mustache and bushy eyebrows!

Ammon didn’t want his face painted but was supporting the Lakers with his arm!

Kalixta got an angel on her sweet cheek!

Ammon and Nik’s most favorite game to play is striking out Barry Bonds. Nik left for Scout camp Saturday so he didn’t get to try but Ammon did! He struck Barry out 19 times by the end of the day!

Ammon and Barry! Can you  see Ammon’s name on there over and over again!!

Friday Fiesta Time

If you follow my blog at all you know every July we go to the Fiesta at Adam’s Mom and Dad’s church! It is a fun filled weekend! The kids look forward to this weekend all year!!

The spinning tea cups are always a favorite!

This year Marie, Marci and KP joined us for all the fun! KP and Marci enjoyed the rides!!

Spinning Bears are also a favorite!

Marie liked them too!

KP loved the helicopters! The girls loved taking turns going with him!

Kalixta and Britain really loved being the big kids that can go on any ride!!

There are a little set of swings and a big set on swings. As you can imagine the big set goes higher and faster! Well Tori was tall enough and had to go on! She was so excited and she absolutely LOVED it!! She went again and again!

Michael was really good and spent a lot of time in the stroller watching and waving to the kids! He liked watching everything!

Nik was always there to hold him too!

The Ferris Wheel is a favorite of mine! All the kids like it too!

Kalixta got to go with Kylie!!

Marie got Ari and Tori!

Then there is this silly trio!

Zoe had her bff come and send the evening with her! The had a blast running all over the park and so I rarely saw them! They did come and show off their face paint though and I got one quick shot!

Here is the group before we called it a night!

The Boys

Having KP here gives the boys one more on their team! All the kids are so sweet and love KP so much! We hate that we live so far apart!

Nik swinging with the little guys!

Ammon loves to goof around with KP. He got down on his hands and knees so that KP could ride on him!

KP loved it!

Look Mom no hands!!

Love love those boys!!

The Beach

The beach is a must during the summer! It is an even bigger must when family is visiting from Utah! We spent the afternoon at the beach with Marci, Marie and KP!

KP loves loves loves his auntie Marie!

Tori brought this colorful umbrella to the beach with her! It made for a cute little photo shoot!

Ariana loved jumping off the sand cliff and posing!!

Zoe let Britain bury her! What a sweet sister, right?!

Michael did not like walking on the sand! It was pretty funny. All he wanted was for me to hold him! I stuck him in a hole for a minute and he actually loved it!! He stayed in there for a while pulling all the sand down on him!

KP enjoyed the sand, the water and the cousins at the beach! He is just too cute!!

All of us hanging at the beach!!

Shooting Range

We have a wonderful couple who have adopted our kids as their grandkids! They took 6 of the kids to Home Town Buffet the other night! He brings Oreo cookies to them almost every Sunday! They all sit on the back sofas after church and eat them! They are so sweet and wonderful!

He is a avid shooter! One Saturday he took Adam and Ammon out shooting! They had an amazing time! Ammon loved loved shooting! He was really good at it and might shoot in a competition next month!

Unloading the ammo!

Safe and ready to shoot!

Lesson by Bro. Bradshaw!

Ready. Set. Fire.

He got to shoot two different types of guns!

Reload!

At this range the goal was to hit metal plates. Each plate had a different ring to it. There was a recorder/timer. You pressed the start button and the device would time how long it took to hit each plate! Adam brought home lots of video for me to watch of Ammon hitting the plates! The last one was perfect, each shot hit the target! It was so fun to watch! Good Job Ammon!

Thanks Bro. Bradshaw for the awesome day!!

On the Roof

We went to my parent”s house one day to visit with my cute little nephew and my two sisters. When we got there KP was on the roof! My kids quickly joined him!

Britain’s up to her posing again!

She is a nut, I know!!!

I love how protective Tori is being of KP! We miss that boy so!

Kalixta’s 2nd Grade Year!!

Zoe teased me for being so late on my posting! So I apologize but my blog is the only way I remember things! So I have to be sure to blog about the important milestones even if they did happen last month!

I was really worried about Kalixta starting a new school! She had such good friends at her last school that she still writes to and misses! But I worried for nothing! Kalixta got the perfect teacher! And the perfect class! She made great friends quickly and loved loved loved 2nd grade! Her teacher was fun and creative and was always challenging Kalixta to work a little harder and do a little better! She was Kalixta’s biggest cheerleader too!

Kalixta thrived in her class! Her reading got so much better and understanding math got easier! The funnest thing was her writing! Kalixta loves to write about what she learns and makes up stories!

They also did lots of fun art projects! Since I can’t always keep the art here are some pictures so I can remember!

Kalixta’s self portrait!

I love this one with oil pastels!

According to Kalixta she is 3 feet and 12 inches tall!

This one is my absolute favorite! It was displayed in the window of the class room and I would walk by just to see it! It makes me smile!!

Kalixta had a little book that she filled in the blanks about her 2nd grade year. Here are a few highlights! Her favorite color is purple and favorite food is pizza! Her favorite subject is reading and her favorite place at school is the library!

She had to think of some ways that she had changed this year. She wrote, I hated math but now I love it! I hated reading but now I love it! I did like leaving (school) but now I hate it! I did not like school but now I love it! I got bigger! I got to write better! I got more friends! I got to be 8!

Now my sweet girl is on to third grade! She is so excited and would start tomorrow given the chance!

8th Grade Graduate!!!

Nik graduated from 8th grade on June 14th! There was no ceremony for Nik because he choose to attend a church Youth Conference that started on the day of the promotion! It was a hard decision, maybe mostly for me but he did it and I am so proud of him! He missed the last two days of school with so many friends that have become great friends! He missed the celebration and congrats and pats of the back but he gained so much as he choose to have faith!

When he got back from Youth Conference his certificate of graduation was waiting in the mail for him!!

No Nik didn’t get glasses, but doesn’t he look adorable in those fake ones!!

We got Nik a game he has wanted for a while! I love these two boys together!!

Uncle Jeffy and Aunt Kylie surprised Nik (and me!) with a new suit! Nik and Jeff went one day and picked it out! He got a couple new ties to go with it too!

He got this cute bow tie too! He was so proud when he used videos on you tube to figure out how to tie it!!

Now he is off to Channel Island High School and I know that graduation is just around the corner! I can hardly stand it! But I am proud of my son! He doesn’t always make the decisions I want him to, but he is a good young man!! Love you Nik!!

July 4th

We started the 4th with a flag raising ceremony and pancake breakfast! We spent the day at the pool and made a yummy yummy red, white and blue treat!

Once it was dark we got out the sparklers! The kids loved loved the sparklers! The best part of the day!!

At first Michael was stunned by the sparklers but he warmed up and soon wanted to grab them! I got him a cool glow stick to keep him entertained and for the most part away from the fire!!

Tori did about five and then she was done! She did have fun though!
Ammon being the Statue Of Liberty!

4th Of July

We had a wonderful laid back fourth of July! We started celebrating Saturday night by painting patriotic nails!! I loved how they looked!

Zoe and I searched the internet for fun ideas! Ariana thought her nails where adorable!!

Britain and Kalixta had the same but different nails!

Zoe picked the most elaborate ones and the ones that took us the longest! So long that she fell asleep waiting for them to dry!

Tori’s looked great too!

Sunday the girls got all dressed up in red, white and blue for church!

Love my girls!!
