We had a great Father’s Day!! My kids love to make cards and give love on this special day. I hope all the Dad’s in our lives felt the love!!

The kids spoiled Adam by making him breakfast in bed. Earlier in the week he got to go to Kalixta and Britain’s class for doughnuts!

They sure love their Daddy! He is pretty great!

Zoe made Adam a jar filled with Reese’s Pieces that had ties all over it and said “I love you to pieces!”

Michael had a fabulous 2nd birthday! He got to celebrate many times and open presents many times!! And he loved it!!

First we celebrated with Adam’s family!! He had a yummy ice cream cake and bbq chicken for dinner! Michael loves all food. He will try anything once and often surprises me with what he likes. He loves loves loves chips. They are his most favorite thing ever although he does have a huge sweet tooth and loves candy, chips always win! He will eat any hot chip, Hot Cheetos, Takis, he loves them!

Michael talks a ton!! He will repeat anything any one asks him and in our house that happens often. He know how to sing most of Happy Birthday and will sing it any time he sees a cake or a cake box!

He got lots of awesome clothes that he loves to wear!! He has become very picky with his clothes and has to pick what he wears!! Sometimes he sports two shirts or two pj’s, you never know with this kid!!

Grandpa Buzz and Grandma found Michael this awesome bike!! He absolutely loves it!!

On his actual birthday we were at the temple as a family! But we still had to have something!! He blew out both his candles by himself even though it took a few tries!

Sunday we opened presents with my family!! He mastered opening presents!! He would gasped loudly as he opened each gifted and realized what it was!!

Then we opened presents again with our family!! He got lots of attention and loved every minute of it!!

Holding still for pictures is not for Michael. He poses saying “cheese” for one second then in on to the next thing!

He wears his new jammies as often as they are clean!

This amazing boy brings so much laughter, love  and craziness to our family!! I can’t imagine life without him!! He is so silly and loves to make us laugh. He is a super great sharer most of the time!! He is easy going and determined. He is very destructive, sometimes on accident but mostly on purpose. Grandpa Buzz called him a tornado and that is the perfect way to describe him! He also loves with his whole heart!! There is nothing better than his “I love you Mommy!” and his kisses!  He is quick to give a hug or pat to someone who is crying or sad. Love you so much Michael!! Happy birthday!!

We went to a cousin’s birthday party! He had a piñata! It has been a long time since the kids have had a piñata and they loved it!!

This is Michael first encounter with one and he wasn’t too sure about it!

Kalixta was a little more shy with her approach but she still got a few hard hits!

All they kids started ducking  when Ammon got up! He hit a lot of the cones off and they went flying!

We spent the Saturday celebrating Adam’s sister Diane’s birthday and her husband Rhea’s too! It is always great to be family! We had a blast hanging out and playing games!!

Birthday cards are personal and not to be read out loud! Uncle Rhea forgot so Kalixta reminded him!!

Ariana is a reading machine!! She loves loves to read! It is amazing to me how once they get it they really get it and they read everything in sight!! She reads all the traffic signs and asks questions when she doesn’t understand why they say what they say! She read a sign that said No Left Turn and was concerned for the “people who live up there.” It was fun to explain the sign and see her get it!

She reads boxes and signs and bags everywhere we go! I love it!!

She is obsessed with books! Her favorite day is Thursday when we go to the library and she gets to check out new books! She get bothered when I make her stay in the easy reading section because she wants to read chapter books now! Thankfully we found easy reading books that are chapter books! Her life is good!

I will find her in random places in the house reading to herself, Michael, Tori or even Yogi (the dog)! I got this perfect picture the other day!

Zoe had twin day at school. Her friend’s hair is curly so we curled Zoe’s hair! Tori wanted to be her twin so I curled Tori’s hair too! She love loved being like her big sister!

Sorry I have been so awful about posting! My camera is dead!! It is the saddest thing ever!! My lack of post is due to the fact that I don’t have the pictures or don’t like the pictures I have! Plus life is just crazy busy! School is over in 9 days and I couldn’t be happier about that!

Last weekend we were able to go on a walk as a family! It was wonderful just being together with no pressure to go or do anything! I took a few pictures with my phone, which isn’t the best but better than nothing!

We got a dog named Yogi! He is a great, enthusiastic dog that brings a lot of happiness to our family!

Michael slept the the entire walk but the last 5 minutes! It was perfect!! He got out to walk a bit with his “Key” and best friend!

I love relaxed days like these and my family!!

We celebrated Nik’s Birthday yesterday! I can’t believe he is 16!!

Nik got lots of love and awesome gifts.

These two have such a special relationship!! Michael loves his “Key”. Gotta love Michael’s “cheese” face!!

Nik likes crazy socks. We found these cool mustard and ketchup socks!

Zoe got him kinda matching hamburger and fries underwear!

Adam and I got him a strengthening kit!! He has been saving his lawn mowing money for this so he was super excited!!

He got a package in the mail decorate all cool from the Platts full of awesome sports gear!

He got a new white shirt from Grandma Mike. She gave him cuff links from Grandpa Mike’s collection. Those are pretty special! I guess he was just telling his friend he wanted a white shirt with cuff links so he was thrilled!!

He picked Sweet and Sour meatballs for his dinner. I think that has been his pick for at least 10 years!! He wanted dirt pudding for his cake this year!

 

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!!

We barbecued with Adam’s family Saturday. The kids spoiled Grandma with cute cards they made!

Sunday morning the kids and Adam made me breakfast, then cleaned up the kitchen and downstairs while I did nothing but get ready for church!! They spoiled me with gifts and lots of love!!

After church my Dad fixed a wonderful dinner and we spent time with my Mom and Grandma!

They were given lots of love of their special day!

Ammon and Adam had the chance to go to Knott’s Berry Farm! Ammon worked on the Railroad merit badge for Scouts in the morning and then they played all afternoon and night!

They were up at 5 am and at the park before 8!

Ammon and Adam both had a blast  learning about steam engines and railroads!

Adam strongly encouraged Ammon to go on all the crazy roller coasters! He did and didn’t like them at the same time!!

He did have a great time spending time with his Dad!! He did tell me later that he likes roller coasters and would go on them again!!

They left the park at 10pm. It only took Ammon 10 minutes out of the park to knock out!!
