Modest Fashion Show

At church all Young Women (girls 12-18) have a program they do called Personal Progress. Through this program the girls set and keep goals in nine different values which are Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, Integrity, and Virtue. As the girls work and learn they become closer to their Father in Heaven, gain a stronger testimony and develop attributes that will bless their current and future families.

This is an amazing program that I have a very strong testimony of! I completed my Personal Progress when I was a teen, I am currently trying to complete it again with Zoe and want to do the same with each of my girls as they go through Young Women.

Zoe in now in the midst of working on her Personal Progress!! She works so hard to truly complete each goal and get the most out of it! Zoe never does anything less than her best!! She is an amazing example to me!! In each virtue 6 experiences and a 10 hour project have to be completed! Zoe completed all 6 experiences for Choice and Accountability.  For her 10 hour project she wanted to do a Modest Fashion Show!! She worked so hard planning and organizing it. She invited the girls from church who are 8-11 years old, the future Young Women and their parents. All the Young Women at church were the  models! We created a runway and got an announcer! She had three categories, causal, dressy and formal! She wrote two talks to go between the categories so the girls would have time to change! She even made tons of treats to serve at the end! It turned out GREAT! I couldn’t be prouder of my girl!!

There was lots of fabulous pictures from the night but since I don’t like to post pictures of other people’s children I am only going to do ones of Zoe!

I absolutely love this picture of her!!

Ariana’s 7th Birthday

Nobody gets as excited as Ariana for her birthday!! She made a chain to count down the days. She told everybody how many days until her birthday! And she wrote down a list for her birthday breakfast, birthday dinner and her birthday list!! She is so fun on her special day!!

Adam had the day off so he and I took her on a few errands with us! She loved the attention! She is super happy to be 7!!

We spent the afternoon with Adam’s family barbecuing for her birthday! She wanted Daddy’s bbq ribs, bbq chips and watermelon and a lady bug cake!!

She got it all!

She only blew a little spit on the cake this year blowing out her candles!!

Ariana is the best present opener EVER!!! She LOVES everything she gets and is so excited for it!! It is so fun to watch!!

She is excited for the new googles Britain gave her!!

Ariana loves her Nik Nik!

Ariana and Mariyah

Ariana got money from Cousin Bubbles!

Excited for new clothes with Grandma!!

Cami drew the cutest card for Ariana!

Ariana and Great-Grandma Gloria

Ariana got an awesome package from her Aunt and Uncle and cousins!! Oh and Sid too!

Ariana and Daddy spent a long time looking for something to spend her money on. She loved looking “online” for toys. When they came for her in the mail a few days later she was even more happy!!

This is what she picked!

Ariana is an amazing girl! She brings such life and joy to our lives!! She hates for anyone to feel sad or upset! She loves to gives compliments and love! Her laugh is contagious! She loves to talk and has a hard time stopping!! We love her tons!!

July 4th water fight and fireworks

After the pancake breakfast there was a water fight! I totally forgot about this part and was unprepared but the kids still got drenched and had a good time!!

Telling on Zoe! She got him all wet with a water balloon and he liked it!!

Tori doesn’t not like getting wet!! She was more than happy to watch!!

Nik was prepared with a waterproof jacket!

Michael wanting to come in when the water fight was over!! So sorry Bud! He loved getting wet and getting others wet!!

We went home and Adam and the kids spent hours swimming in the pool while I stayed in a quite house with a sleeping Michael!! Most of the kids knocked out by 5 so we stayed home and watched a movie! A few nights later we all did sparklers!

Ariana was not a big fan of sparklers! She only did two and three and then stayed in the house and watched!

Michael love loved sparklers!!! He was so mad at Nik when they were all gone!!

July 4th Pancake Breakfast

We had a great 4th of July!! It started with a flag ceremony that both Nik and Ammon participated in!

We had a yummy pancake, egg and sausage breakfast that Adam put together!

Michael being so reverent for the prayer!

I snapped this from across the table. My friend thought it was pretty cute too because she sent me this one!

Yummmmm!

We love spending time with our family!

Fundraiser

Zoe is going to a week long camp with the young women in our church in August! In order to go the girls had a fundraiser to help earn enough money. They served dinner and then had a dessert auction! Zoe worked really hard and made lots of desserts to help earn money! Here are a couple of her best looking cakes.

She made an ice cream cake!

She made a whopper cake!

She made a skittle cake!

An M&M cake.

Kalixta and Britain went to a friend’s house (Bradshaws) and helped them make a cake! They were very proud of their cake!!

So proud of my hard working daughters!

628 Day

Anyone who knows Adam knows his number! I met a friend of his from high school the other day. She hasn’t seen Adam since high school but remembered his number 628!

So….

Adam always sends out an inspirational thought on his special day and today is no different! He has started a new blog! It explains his number obsession and will slowly tell his conversion story!  I am excited to have it written down for our kids and their kids and their kids!! So check it out and enjoy!!

And have a great 628 Day!!

Notes

The other day I went into Ariana’s room and got scolded for not knocking. You see there was a note on the door and I didn’t read and obey it!!

Here is the note! Please Knock

She then told me she had notes for all occasions! Adam and I had a good laugh at the spelling and what they said!!

Don’t come in

I am busy so don’t come in

Only Mom and Dad can come in right now

Come in when you want

Don’t come in I’m not there

And my personal favorite!

Don’t come in  I am naked
