Ammon is playing flag football this year! He hasn’t played a game yet but has been practicing a ton! He needed a mouth guard and he wanted a bright pink one because that is his favorite color!

My Dad sent me this picture of Nik after a full day of seminary, school, and football practice. He went over to have his Aunt Kylie cut his hair and  he fell asleep talking to Grandpa!

Michael loves to watch the garbage truck pick up the trash cans! He runs through the house yelling when he hears the garbage truck noise! He also loves to point out airplanes in the sky and can often hear them before anyone else!

Ariana stayed home from school today because of a mosquito bite. She got a bite on her eye lid! She eye swelled a little and I knew someone at school would worry so I kept her home to save me the trouble of driving back down to get her!

Tori and Michael loved having her home for the day!

Nik is playing Varsity Football for Channel Island High School. He has practiced and worked out hard all summer!

Go CI Raiders!!

Nik had his first football game Friday night! It was a scrimmage against Pacifica. I took all the kids to watch Nik play. I think they did more playing than watching but they had a good time!

It was a good game that ended in a tie, not want Nik wanted but I told him is wasn’t a loss!

Nik started his sophomore year of high school yesterday and his second year of early morning seminary today!

I left to take the kids to school before Nik had to go to school so, my sweet boy gets up and got dressed so I could take his first day of school pictures! He then went and took his shower and re got ready for school! I love my boy!

Nik is always buying and selling stuff at school. He is quite the business man. He wore his new shirt to school and got multiple offers to buy it! He didn’t sell it though, he likes it too much!

Last month I took Ariana in for her 7 year old check up! She had a great time seeing Dr. Katie again. She was so excited and curious and asked a million questions and talked a million miles a minute. Dr Katie checked her all out as she talked. Ariana sat down on the bench after a while, folded her hands and asked Dr Katie, “Well we do we start this stuff?” Dr Katie and I looked at each other and laughed! She had talked through the whole examination! She is a talker my girl and I love it as much as it drives me crazy!!

The two of us went out to McDonalds together! Just the two of us! This rarely happens. Half way through lunch she stops chewing and looks at me and says, “I like you. We should do this everyday!” Haha! Love this girl!

Our butterflies hatched. They both flew off within a day or two but it was fun watching them.

Tori found the first one when we came home from the beach!

We kept him in the house for a day then let him go. It took him a while but he flew off!

Our plant was completely eaten so now we are waiting for it to grow and hopefully more caterpillars will come!

We spent Monday, our last official day of summer, at the beach. The kids dug in the sand, boogie boarded and jumped waves with friends!

The kids also found a starfish!

The junior high and elementary school kids started school today!

6th Grader!! First day in junior high! He had a great day and loves switching classes!

My adorable 4th grader! Britain loves her teacher and class.

My amazing 4th grader! Kalixta shed a few tears but she loves everything about school and is excited to be back!

My sweet 2nd grader! Ariana was blessed with an amazing teacher that Adam and I have known for years!! She had a fabulous day!

Being a little silly!

As always I drive home teary! I have mixed feeling about them going to school. I love that they all love school and have a great time there, but I miss them and hate that they have to grow up!

Ariana and Tori went to play with their cousin Saturday. She is a doll and they always have a great time together. They were wheeling up and down the sidewalk when I got there!

These girls are so cute together!

Across the street at the park there was a “train” run by the city so we went over to check it out.

The girls got to ride on it several times and had a blast!
