Nik’s game against Camarillo was bad! We got a score in the end so it wasn’t a total shut out but barely! They didn’t throw the ball much so Nik only had 2 catches for about 11 yards.

Just two more games!! Pacifica Friday and Hueneme the next Friday. If we win both on to play offs we go!!

Our family loves Halloween! I love all the traditions around Halloween and all holidays for that matter. As my family has grown traditions have become more important to me. I want the kids to have fond memories of holidays and family. But they have also become harder! Harder to find time, harder to plan, and certain people think they are growing up:).

We have fit a few traditions in this year between football, homework, school and church!

We did a pumpkin craft that I saw in Britain’s classroom last year and loved! It turned out great.

Each pumpkin came out so unique!

We also made yummy yummy caramel apples!

My kids are goofy!! And I love it!

Britain, Kalixta and Ariana went to a cheer clinic Saturday put on as a fundraiser for the cheerleaders at Zoe and Ammon’s school! They got to go all day, got a t-shirt, lunch and snacks! They had the best time ever!

At the end they performed what they learned! It was adorable to watch and I was amazed at all they had learned!

Next week they get to perform during half time of the middle school’s game! They can’t wait and have been practicing!

My Mom’s birthday was last week, we went over Sunday to celebrate! My Mother is amazing! She is an example to me in so many ways! I couldn’t have asked for a better Mom or Grandma for my kids!!

The Raiders beat Rio Mesa Friday night 21-16! It was a great game! Nik had another good game!

He had two big catches both about 25 yards! He ended the night with 4 catches and about 60 yards!

Yesterday was Tori’s 5th birthday! She had a wonderful time celebrating with all her family!

We started the day by going to church! She opened a beautiful new dress from the Platts that she loved wearing! Half way through church she asked me if it was over yet! I told her no, not yet. She threw her head back and responded, “Ugh! This is ruining my birthday!!”

We went to Adam’s parent’s house for lunch where Tori was spoiled by all her family that love her so!

Tori is my strongest willed child! She is fun and helpful, when she wants to be! She loves to baby Michael and is always trying to take care of him whether he wants it or not! She is also the first to fight with him and want what he has. She loves anything girly, Strawberry Shortcake, Barbies and Lalaloopsy are her favorites! She loves to have her hair done and brushed and brushed but hates to brush her teeth! She doesn’t like the pool too much and is always the first to want to leave! She doesn’t like to get in the bath but once she is in will stay forever, but she doesn’t like her hair to be washed! She loves to play at the park and has almost mastered the monkey bars! She could swing for hours! Tori doesn’t like all foods but at the same time is a eater! Her least favorite food is beans! She loves all candy and sweets though her favorites are sour patch kids and ice cream! Tori loves books, she is learning to read. She can’t wait to start school and thinks she will now that she is 5. This girls brings me much joy and a lot of frustrations! Can’t imagine life without her!

Ammon’s team, the Raiders played there toughest team Saturday and beat them 14-0! It is so fun to watch this age play. Plus with flag football I am so much closer to the action and I really enjoy it!

Ammon played great and had lots of plays! He started with a 5 yard catch for the extra point after the score!

Then he had a 15 yard run! At half time they were up 7-0

The second half he played some good D and pulled a flag before a td could be scored! He had a 10 yard run and then a 35 yard catch! It was almost a td…they pushed him out of bounds 2 yards short! He had a 5 yard catch and a 3 yard run!!

It was a fun game! So glad I made it to this one!

All the kids went with me, Adam and Zoe went down to the temple. They got a little bored and enjoyed Jeff’s phone.

Win! Win! Friday’s game was homecoming and the perfect win against Oxnard! This game went down to the wire again! This time we had the lead 25-21. We had an interception in the end zone to finish the game!

It was exciting, thrilling and fun!

Britain came with me this game. We worked in the snack bar during the jv game. She loves to help there and serve the customers. She wanted to stay in the snack bar instead of going to the game.

There was a funnel cake booth! Britain and I had to try one. Amazing!

Nik had a great game with 3 catches for about 30 yards. Maxpreps doesn’t have the exact stats yet so I have to guess! He had one big catch and after that he was always double teamed! Adam said the Oxnard sideline was always yelling to watch #8! Nik has a number of friends on that team, that made it a sweet win! We have friends and family on the coaching staff so that made it a fun game.

Nik had lots of friends and family show up to the game! A family, The Baker’s, from church came. He works with Nik in Young Mens and has been helping Adam with the chains! Nik’s Uncle and family from San Diego area came as well as Adam’s parents. Jeff and Kylie are regulars, always there to support him!

Grandma Mike came to watch Nik play too!

The Homecoming fireworks were beautiful!

We went and helped a family move for family night last week and they had this awesome bird. Ammon and Nik were way distracted and only wanted to play with the bird!

Now they think they need a bird like this!
