Our butterfly plants had aphids all over them. We wanted to try a natural way to get rid of them so we bought lady bugs! For Family Home Evening we let all the lady bugs out on the plants. It was so much fun to see them going every where and trying to put them on the plants and watching them eat the aphids!

Ammon had them crawling all over him!

Everyone loved the lady bugs crawling on them but Zoe!

The next day all the aphids were gone and so were most of the lady bugs! That didn’t stop Michael from checking for them every day!!

A very special Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom and Grandma! They are so wonderful to me and my family! I am grateful to have them in my life!

My Dad made a great dinner for all us Mom’s. He made this jello that was as good as it looked! Thanks Dad!

Mother’s Day was awesome! The kids spoiled me by making me breakfast! Nikolas made it himself…his specialty!

The last week has been spent with sick kids. Ammon came home from Camporee coughing. He spent Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday sick in bed with fevers and coughing and not feeling well at all!

Michael spent Tuesday throwing up. No fun!

I sent this pic to Nik when I missed his game this week! Poor guy!

Friday everyone was feeling a better, thanks heavens! We went and picked up Nik’s glasses!

Nik had an away game. He has to dress up each day he plays and I love it! I love seeing him in a tie!

Another day at the pool. I will try not to post pool pictures all summer but these are some super cute ones!

Ammon is at Camporee and Nik had baseball practice so it was just the girls and Michael!

It has been really really warm here…like high 90’s and our pool is closed! Kinda a bummer!

That has all changed now!! The pool opened today and we couldn’t be more excited!!

Yesterday we made it down to Disneyland!! This is the most anticipated day of the month! I am once again so thankful to my parents and in-laws that we were able to get these passes! This is a most memorable year!!

I pack snacks in little baggies and put them in a back pack for each kid and they carry their water and snacks around. They can eat when they want and they love this method! Usually Michael and Ammon share and Tori and Britain share but this month I gave them their own! Michael loved carry his own back pack! It only lasted a short while but he still loved having his own!

We rushed to Toy Story!

It was very very warm! We tried to do things inside that we haven’t done before!

We went to watch Play House Disney! I knew the littles would like it but the big kids enjoyed it too! It was very entertaining! We saw Mickey and the gang as well as Jack the Pirate and Tori’s favorite, Sophia the First!

We went into the Innovations building and saw Iron Man suits!

We watched the Jedi show and Britain got picked!! She did a great job!

We fed this little family of ducks while Michael slept and the big kids went on Splash Mountain and Cars. There was 5 little babies!

Buzz Lightyear is Michael’s favorite ride and a trip to Disneyland in not complete without going on it!!

Best Day Ever!!

On Saturday it was Mormon Helping Hands. Members of The Church Of Jesus Christ  of Latter Day Saints all over CA and Hawaii did service in their communities. Our assignment was picking fruit for Food Share. We went to a place in Somis and picked oranges.

Adam’s Mom and Dad went with us! The kids all had fun for the first hour but continued to work hard the whole time we were there!

Tori put Grandpa to work giving her a lift!

Once we picked the oranges we had to haul them all up the hill to the big bins!

There was lots of tree climbing!!

Even Michael got up in the trees and picked a few!

But the eating part was his favorite!

With the help of a few other families this was our haul!

We all had a great time! Thanks for all the help Mom and Dad!

Nik’s games were against Hueneme this week! They won both games and Nik had a fabulous game Friday! He had a triple, a double and a single and pulled in 5 rbi’s.

He is now second on the team for rbi’s this year! He was also named player of the game!
