Utah Traveling!

We slept in and caught up on our sleep and then were on our way!

Once we got into Utah Michael thought we should be seeing KP right away. He was a little disappointed so we had to distract him a lot!

He could see Mater and Lightening McQueen here!

We had coloring contests!

A hot pit stop in St. George to see a friend!

Another bathroom break! Michael was always having to go pee! The kids ran around a little bit and watched the puffy clouds for a while.

We stopped for a yummy sweet treat.

We were shocked at the sight of this beautiful temple. The Payson Temple meant we were almost there!

Home!

It truly felt like home as we finally made it to KP and Eli and of course Marci. It was so good to see Ammon, it felt like it had been a while not 2 days. Nik will be with me in 2 more days and I will be complete!

We went to visit some friends and ended spending the night instead of continuing on to Saratogo Springs. It was great to see how the kids had grown and get caught up on all the news! It felt good to be home!

Utah or Bust

We took off today after Adam got home from work around 5.

Michael and Tori knocked out right away and slept for the next 2 hours.

We stopped to see the aliens and pick up some beef jerky.

Michael was so scared and didn’t even want to get out of the car! Poor guy did NOT like the aliens!

Going through Vegas!

We made a very late night stop to get fireworks. We couldn’t believe how hot it was!!!

We made it to Mesquite around 1:30am. All the kids stayed awake most of the way and were excellent.

The car ride was a little long for Michael and he often asked, “Dad where are we?” and when I say often I mean like every 5 minutes! He got a little cranky and decided he wanted to go back home because Utah and KP and Nik were “too far away!” With food and distractions he made it through!

Packing

After 3 long years of being gone we are finally taking a trip down to Utah! We are all so excited!

My parents are going too and took off early Monday morning. They took Ammon with them. He had lots of room to relax! He enjoyed some stops we don’t usually make!

Meanwhile we were busy washing the van!

And packing up!

Watch out Utah here we come!!

Bread Making

Adam bought me a new toy!! Yep it is a Bosch!

We have had lots of fun learning how to make bread!

I love how it makes the house smell!

Our favorite it straight out of the oven hot!

Summer Break

Here are a few fun pictures from our summer week!

Ammon found a magnifying  glass and paper! Happy day for this 12 year old!

Everyday the kids do pages in their workbooks.

Then they read for 60 minutes!

Then we usually hit the pool!

They hate sleeping in their own beds so the living room usually becomes their sleeping place.

We cleaned the church Friday night! Michael was very helpful.

Just hanging out and being together is my favorite part of summer break!

Sushi

We got this awesome sushi makers from the Strawberry Festival. We have had so much fun becoming sushi masters!

Zoe gave Adam the headband. She said it made him look more official!

Swimming

Zoe is going to summer school so she is gone all morning. And of course Nik is gone so the first week of summer has been slow and relaxed. We went to the library and started the reading program there. The kids have to read an hour each day, though the girls end up reading way more!

We also got workbooks for them so they have to work on them each day. Their rooms have to be clean and the downstairs and then we will go to the pool! They love the pool and it is mostly empty!

Adam’s sister and her kids came the other day and played with us!

Even the babies go swimming!

Michael loves to be in the pool now and swims with his face in the water! He loves to do it all by himself…with his floaties of course!

Love this picture of him!

After an hour of swimming he is done and wants to go home. No one else is ready though! Sometimes he just takes a nap!

Gabi and Rhea spent the night so we went back to the pool the next day before they had to leave!

These cousins can’t get enough time together! I love it!!

Bye bye Nik

For Nik’s birthday my sister bought him an airplane ticket to see her and her family and go to BYU Football camp. He left Saturday the 14th! It was so hard to see him go but he is so excited!!

All packed and ready!

Out the door!

His flight got delayed 3 times! It was supposed to leave at 8:48 and didn’t leave until 11:15 which means he didn’t get to Utah until 1 in the morning. He didn’t care though! He is so excited to go to football camp and see all his Uncles, Aunts and cousins in Utah!

He will spend almost 2 weeks in Utah and them fly to Sacramento for my brother Jeff to pick him up and he will stay a week with him in Chico. He will then drive back to Utah and meet us there right before the 4th of July!! I can’t believe he will be gone to long! I miss him already but I am so excited for his vacation!!

Bike ride

Saturday Ammon and Nik went on a 50 mile bike ride! The young men and women in our ward are working to earn a trip to Hurricane Harbor. This is one thing the boys have to do!

There was a sore butt! But they did it!!

Happy Father’s Day Dad!

Before too many days past I need to post a big Happy Father’s Day to my Dad!

My Mom made this awesome t-shirt quilt for Dad for Father’s Day and their Anniversary!

Happy Father’s Day Dad! We sure love ya!!
