Last week I took the kids that were home to the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden. It wasn’t what I thought it was going to be but we had a great time and got a little excerise.

Britain loved being the family photographer! She did a great job!

Saturday was the annual Fiesta at Adam’s Dad and Mom’s church. They did the sweet tooth booth again this year. Adam and I tried our hand at making fancy caramel apples! They were a hit and we all had a great time making them!

Zoe, Ammon and Adam all had fun helping in the booth.

This year I had the kids work to earn money they got to spend at the Fiesta, even Michael! They worked hard for their money! They always have to get their face painted.

The used most of their money pitching to Barry for prizes!

They always get something, but if you get 3 strikes you get to write your name on the board! My kids’ names were on there a lot!!

Ammon won a prize for Tori! She could get two strikes but that last one was so hard…..so Ammon helped her!

They loved the rides. This car ride was one of Michael’s favorites.

There was a few new ones we really liked. The obstacle course one was cool.

Yesterday Ammon had to go to the dr to get a physical for camp and a shot so he can start 7th grade!

He was not looking forward to the shot. When she was done he said, “That was it?” Haha! I keep trying to tell them it is not a big deal!

Zoe and Ammon both volunteered to help out at the Cub Scout Day Camp this year.

They both had friends with them and they all had a blast!

We love going to the library and when we go during the summer it is even better with the summer reading program!

Every week there is a show at the library. Our favorite was the science show. Both Kalixta and Tori were chosen as volunteers!

Today I took the kids that were home to the Channel Island Maritime Museum. It is free the 3rd Thursday of every month! And I love any thing free!

There was lots to see and explore inside and out!

We had a great time and would go again!!

I love marshmallows! I also love toasting them!  Unfortunately only a few in our house are going camping this year and I am not one of them. So I brought s’mores inside!

Gotta say we loved it! Not exactly as fun as toasting marshmallows but yummy!

Zoe was able to stay in Utah an extra week. She loved her time getting to know new cousins and spending time with the Platts. She drove home yesterday with my parents.

She had a blast and would have stayed longer if she didn’t have Girl’s camp the next week!

Summer is not compete without a trip to the beach! Parking was crazy and I didn’t want to walk  2 blocks to the beach with all the kids and stuff so we went to the no wave beach or kiddie beach! The older kids weren’t excited at first but the ended up having a blast!

They love to explore the rocks looking to sea animals! They found these crabs.
