Father’s Blessings

Every year before school starts Adam gives all the kids a Father’s blessing. It is always a special occasion. School starts tomorrow for the elementary and junior high kids. The high schoolers start Thursday.  The first day of school seems to come sooner and sooner each year!

I try to mark this special blessings with a picture of Adam and each kid!

Oh how I love this man and the Priesthood he holds! He works so very hard at work, at church, and to better himself. I don’t know what I would do without him by my side through this crazy life!

We have a 7th grader, 2 fifth graders, a third grader and a kindergartner who are all very excited tonight!

Cousin’s swim party

Today we got together with Adam’s cousins and had a fun day letting all our kids play and swim together! It was a awesome!

Beach Trip

When ever family is in town a trip to the beach with them is necessary!

Adam’s brother Nick, his wife Donna and their little cutie were here for a while so we spent an afternoon playing at the beach with them!

Ammon’s awesome sand castle!

Boogie boarders!

Uncle Nick, Zoe and Ammon going waaaay out!!

Best. Day.

Beach Pictures

Since I had some of the other kids with me when I took Ari’s pictures and it was such a beautiful day I had to take pictures of them too!

I love how they turned out! I might not get school pictures this year!

Baptism Prepictures

As you know Ari turned 8 in July. She should have been baptized then but we were in Utah. In August family was out of town or couldn’t come so we are waiting until Sept to do it! She is so excited and can not wait! She tells everyone she has “waited her whole life to be baptized!”

She got a beautiful white dress for her baptism day. She wanted to invite a few school friends so I figured an invite was the easiest way and it needed a picture and what better place to take the pics? The beach of course!

I love how so many of them turned out!! She was a great model!!

Gorgeous right?! It will be so hard to just pick one!

Basua Reunion

Saturday was the Basua Reunion! It is always fun to get together with family. This year it was here in Oxnard so we had it down at the beach!

It was a beautiful day.

Adam did all the barbecuing!

The kids had a blast riding the big bike around!

Homemade Skirt

Zoe has been working on her last project for her Personal Progress. After lots of thoughts and changing she decided to work on her talent for sewing. She made herself a maxi skirt. The material cost $2.00 a yard and since she only needed a yard that is how much the skirt cost! She made one for her good friend, Deanna and shorter ones for both Kalixta and Britain!

And with that she is done! So proud of the work and effort she put into each experience and project! She is amazing!

Camp Time

Ammon and Zoe both headed out to camp this week! They were both so excited!

Ammon and his best bud left at 4 am Monday morning and returned Saturday. I thought he would get a little homesick but with his friend he did great!

He got all 4 merit badges he signed up to do. And that is super awesome!!

He also did the polar bear swim. The boys have to swim across the pool that has been filled with ice at 6 am. He even said it wasn’t that bad!

Zoe left Monday around 11 and got back Friday. She may have slept for the whole weekend to make up sleep! She had an awesome time!!

Imagination

My kids have to most awesome imagination! I love it! The play and entertain themselves forever when they get into a game!

Britain is teaching art class!

This is a terrible picture but the girls made a club house with blankets, towels and the trash cans. They had pillows and books in there, even ate lunch in there!

The discovered sliding down the banister!

Ariana is always making notes and pictures for the family. She know Michael loves Spider man so she taped this to his bed!

These were the super hero costumes Tori and Michael wore for the video they made!

Love my kids!

Garden’s Park

Outside the Botanic Gardens we found a super fun park to play at and eat lunch!

There was an electronic toy that played a number of games.

There was a few chalk boards and chalk to color!

The little tea set area with tea set was lots of fun!

The ropes coarse was pretty cool too!
