Adam’s Game

Adam had another game Monday night. I didn’t get to go because it started at 8:00. That is a little too late for the kids to stay up on a school night. Michelle took some great pictures for me. Thanks Michelle!!Img_1571

After the guy’s game, Jaime had a game. She is playing on a co-ed team. Adam had a good time watching her play. Hopefully I will get as lucky!

Speed Racer

Ammon has been practicing riding his two wheeler bike for the last week and he is now a speed racer! He only needs me to hold his seat so he can start. He can stop without crashing. He can ride around the bike without stopping. He is a pro!! Nikolas took a few pictures when he was first trying.

Egg Drop

Yesterday at school Ammon got to drop a protected egg off the roof to see if it would break. Ammon and Adam worked Thursday making a tetrahedron, filling it with the egg and packing peanuts, then wrapping it with bubble wrap. They did a great job and the egg DIDN’T break!

He was so very proud. Hey Beck’s do you like the sweatshirt? This sweatshirt was probably given to Jason, passed down to Jordan, then Jeff, then Nik and finally Ammon. He loves it too even with few holes!

Just one more funny story. Yesterday morning Nikolas was pretending to be a superhero with big muscles and a goofy voice. He was saving everyone from being thirsty by getting them milk. Zoe told him he needed a cape. All of a sudden Kalixta starts crying so I asked her what was wrong. "Remember the last Halloween and everyone kept stepping on my cape? I didn’t like that." And she cried even more! Mental note no more capes for Kalixta!

Rock-A-Bye-Baby

Ariana is talking so much lately I wanted to make a video for all the Grandma’s that are far away. So hopefully here it is. Ari loves her Pooh Bear and treats it like a baby, even singing to him. Enjoy Grandmas!!

Back to life

Back to reality. Back to school. And back to waking up early. Spring break is over. Monday all the kids went back to school. And man, I miss sleeping in. But it’s okay, 25 days left before school is OUT!  It was nice to have a relaxed schedule and have more help around.

We did some fun stuff while on break. One of the things we did was go to the library. My kids love the library and during the school year it is not something we do very often. We went looking for a book call Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Zoe bought the second book, Diary of  A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules at the school book fair. Her and Nik both read it in a few days. This means they read when the didn’t have to, which is a miracle! Anything that encourages my kids to read extra is GREAT! Anyways the book is on a long waiting list. I couldn’t get it at Borders either so I guess we will have to wait.

Another book we love is You Are Special by Max Lucado. This is an amazing book with a great message.

Britain and Kalixta also had a trip to the dentist. Good news… No cavities!! Hooray They got the usual goodie bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, pencil and a token to ride the horse!

They also got a coupon for a free kids meal at Del Taco! WooHoo! Free food!

Ariana was very mad because she didn’t get to have pictures taken of her teeth, nor did she get to sit in the chair that goes up and down, but the biggest thing was she didn’t get anything! She kept holding her arms up wanting a prize and the dental girls laughed and said how cute she was. In six months when we go she will have her first check up. She will get to do all those things. I wonder how she will act then!

Day Two of Spring Break

Tuesday was our boring day of Spring Break. It was COLD outside and by late afternoon it was snowing!! I didn’t want to go anywhere so we just hung around and got some chores done. First on the list was the girls’ laundry. Jordan and Michelle bought the girls and Ammon new hampers to put their dirty clothes in. Thanks guys!!! The girls’ is pink princess and Ammon’s is red spider man. Zoe brought the hamper upstairs and after I started a load, Ari had a great time with the hamper.

Kalixta actually took this last picture! She thought Ari was hilarious. She ran and got me yelling "Get the camera Mom!" So I gave her Nik’s. She really liked taking pictures.
Zoe, Britain, and Kalixta decided they wanted to plant some flowers. I didn’t have any so they made their own.

Spring Break

Spring break is this week and we started it off with a bang. Yesterday we went with some friends to feed the ducks. There wasn’t many ducks and they weren’t hunger but the kids had a blast filling the pond with broken bread! Some HUGE fish came and started eating the bread so that was fun to see. We played at the park and in the water.

Later in the afternoon after baths and some naps, my friend came back over with her two sons and along with Nik they took out the pond, destroyed the water fall and leveled all the dirt. The pond was turning into a dangerous area (too many kids playing in the water and scaring me when they almost fall in or fall in!). It was also a lot of maintenance that I didn’t want to deal with. So once we move all the rocks it will be a beautiful flower bed!!

Then we went to watch Adam play softball. Kenny started a team at work and asked Adam at play. So there is Kenny, Jordan, Jason, Mike, and Adam to watch play. Adam pitches so it makes it even funner for me to watch. He had some amazing plays last night that I think his is paying for today!

The whole team played great! It was fun to watch! Can’t wait for next week!

Guess What?!

Baby207

That’s right folks. Basua baby #7 is in the oven. Seven, holy cow. That number looks so big when you say seven kids! Or even bigger when I say I have seven kids!
I went to the doctor today. I am 11 weeks and 4 days. They baby looks good and has a strong heart beat. I am due Oct. 27th. I have been a little sicker than usual and super tired, but happy. I can’t wait to feel my little Bebe kickn’.
I am so very grateful for the opportunity to bring another little life into our family!

Kindergarten Program

Today was Ammon’s kindergarten program, Welcome to the Zoo. It was great! Each child was an animal. They each had a line and lots of songs about all the animals. Ammon was a lion. His line was "If i had the coloring of a great king lion." I couldn’t understand him, or any of the other kids, but it was fun to watch.

Ammon had to wear a tan or yellow shirt for his costume. So Yes he is wearing his shirt inside out. He didn’t like it and told everyone that his mom made him wear it like that. I was video taping to I didn’t get lots of good pictures, but hopefully I might get some video up.
