Ammon’s 1st Game

Ammon had his first baseball game today! He has been waiting for this day for a while. The first game was rain out and he was so sad. Today he asked about seven times, "What time is it?" and "What time is my game?" His goofy Mom took her camera with dead batteries so I didn't get any pictures until we got home. But no fear I will take lots nextt week! Here is my Yankee!

I realize Adam should be writing the blogs about the games because he would give more details and a better description of the game. It would also be less biased than mine! I always think my boys play great!

Ammon had a good game. He hits off a tee so he got three good hits. The first time he ran from first to second he started going to the second base on another field and they had to call him back! He got to field a ball or two. He didn't run after every hit like I thought he might. In the third inning he seemed to be a little bored. He stood in the same spot the whole inning. He would turn and watch balls and runners, but didn't move much. Don't tell him though! He was just staying in his position! He had a blast even though the game ended in a tie:)

On a different note we had a great weekend with Adam' s brother, Nik, and his girlfriend, Donna, visiting from Oregon. It was so great to have them here! We love them and miss them already! The kids and I drove them to the airport this morning. We got home at 10:30 and at 10:35 Britain said,"I miss Donna too much already! Can't we go back and get her from the airport?" Thanks for visiting guys! Hope to see you VERY soon!

Happy Birthday Marie!

Today is my sister Marie 19th birthday!! Woo Hoo! We celebrate it on Sunday with the best cake in the world!!

Happy birthday Marie! I am so proud of you! Love you LOTS!

Ariana’s new face

Ariana has started this face when she "cheeses" for the camera, wants something, or sees that I am frustratedwith her. It always makes me laugh! She scrunches her eyes shut and smiles real big! It is way cuter than this picture!
IMG_1542

Last night she got a pencil sharpener and tried to sharpen her finger! She cut it kinda bad! I was sitting on the sofa, going through all the end of the year school papers. She walks up to me say Hurt! Hurt!" I look at her and she has blood all over both of her hands! I was surprised she wasn't crying! I cleaned her up and put a band-aid on, to which she said "Cute!" We went and showed Daddy and he kissed it better. For the rest of the night she used her left hand for everything. When her finger would hurt she would say "Hurt!" and some one would kiss her better and she would be fine! Usually my kids are CRY BABIES. Whether it is a scrape, a big cut, or just their feeling all the kids are drama queens and kings! If there is blood, forget it! That kid is upset for hours! It is so very nice to have a "tough"kid!

Ammon’s Graduation!

Ammon graduated from kindergartentoday. He is now a FIRST grader! WOW! He is thrilled about being a first grader, but not about having now school. He rally likes school and his teacher. It has been a wonderful year! Ammon had a program at school today where hesang silly songs and songs to show us all he had learned. There was a video of pictures taken throughout the year. It was really cute. I am shocked at how he has matured and learned in the last 10 months! Here are some fun pictures from the day! This is Ammon's fantastic teacher! Doesn't she look sweet!

This is the teacher's aid. She is also Ammon's primary teacher. She is great and I am lucky to know her and have her teach my son!

I was able to car pool with three other mom's in the ward who had kindergarten kids. This means I only had to pick up one week in a month. That was great! These are the kids from the car pool.  The kid on Ammon's right is his best friend. He is moving out of the ward at the end of the month. Both the boys are very upset about this, but I know this is a special friendship that will last years no matter where either on them go!

Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago a friend, Elizabeth, at church told me she was a photographer. She needed two girls to model some clothes for her and asked if she could borrow Britain and Ariana. I of course said yes! I LOVE pictures and can’t take good ones myself so what a great oppurtunity for ME! A few days later she can over with two cute outfits and took us to a fun place that looks likes a little beach!

Britain was a little camera shy and distracted by the fun sand, but Elizabeth got lots of good ones. This one is my favorite. Click on it to see more!

Ariana rarely takes good pictures. She doesn’t smile at the camera. It seems she proposely doesn’t look at the camera when I ask her too. I was a little worried about how she would at the photo shoot. She had LOTS of fun throwing all the sand! Elizabeth was able to get some great shots! This is one of my favorites, click on it to see more.

Elizabeth took a few pictures of Kalixta too so she wouldn’t feel left out. Kalixta was having so much fun she really didn’t care that she wasn’t the center of attention. Elizabeth only took a few pictures of her. Click on this one to see more.

Elizabeth did a great job! The clothes were super cute! (Ariana LOVED the shoes she was wearing and wouldn’t take them off!) The girls had tons of fun. And I found a cool spot to take my kids this summer. Thanks Elizabeth!

Today’s pregnancy moment

I was cleaning my room and went to the kitchen to get something. By the time I got to the kitchen I had forgotten what I went there for (this happens to me even when I am not pregnant, but since I am pregnant I have a good excuse!). Ammon was sitting at the table and I told him what had happened.
He said,"It’s okay Mom. Go back to where you were and you will remember what you needed."
"Good idea." I said, "Is this what you do when you forget what you are doing?"
"No Mom. I never forget what I am doing. I never forget anything!"

After dinner he is helping me clear the dishes from the table. The three girls have sippy cups. He put one in the sink. I showed him where they really go. He then put another one in the sick. I showed him again where they are supposed to go.
He responded, "Oh I forgot. I guess I am old like you and forget stuff. But I don’t forget stuff twice!"

What a week!

Boy! It has been quite a week. It started with a cold game Monday night. All the men played GREAT! Jordan hit another homer!  There was some great pitching, some great hitting, and some great plays! All my pictures came out blurry, sorry. But here is Nik catching again. His team won both their games this week! He hit a nice double in the second game.

Adam’s Mom AND Dad came to visit us from CA. They drove into town Tuesday, just in time to watch Nik’s game! Wednesday it was a little chilly so they stayed home and watched ALL the kids except for Ammon! There was too many girls in the house, he needed to be with the boys!! So I got to sit and watch a game with only ONE child! It was great! Thanks again Mom!

Wednesday Adam’s Dad fixed the many holes we have made in the house. It is grrreeeaaat to not have any more! Thanks Dad!

Thursday was Nik’s (My baby is eleven, a preteen! Holy cow!) and Adam’s Mom’s birthday. We let the kids skip school and we went down to Salt Lake. We watched the Joseph Smith movie and walked around Temple Square. It was a beautiful day! It is so peaceful to be there! I love being there with my family!

Img_1682

We did a little shopping. We got Nik a bike for his birthday. He is very proud, as you can tell!

Img_1691_2

It was a wonderful day that ended with ice cream cakes!

We were so sad to see Adam’s parents leave this morning! It was so great to have them here. The kids especially loved having their grandparents with them all the time. Ari is Grandpa’s little girl. She learned how to say Grandpa and Grandma the first day they were here. I have been trying to teach her that for a week now. She loves to sit and watch TV with Grandpa or have him carrying her around. It was really special to see her get so attached to him. This morning she woke up after the were gone. She watched cartoons with the twins and then came upstairs to get an orange. She looked around and asked "Where’s Grandpa?" I told her Grandpa was "Bye Bye.’ She said "No Grandpa movie." and pointed downstairs. So she thought or wanted Grandpa to be downstairs watching TV. She misses you guys already!

Today was a fun day for Ammon. He went to the Hogle Zoo with all his kindergarten friends. He has been so excited about the trip. He wanted, and got, to see the white alligator. Adam has been teasing him that he had to be careful or the monkey’s might keep him because they think he is one of them. He gets home today and told us all about the white alligator. Adam asked him if the monkey’s tried to keep him. He said, "Yep, they thought I was a banana!!"

Baseball Season

Baseball season has started for Nikolas. He had his first game last night and his first canceled game because of rain tonight. He is a Brave this year and Adam is coaching him. Yesterday is played 2nd base and then catcher. He says catcher is his favorite. He struck out the first time he was up to bat and hit a nice line drive the second time, but they caught it. I thought he played good, but I always think that!!

Img_1655

They were winning the whole game and then ended up losing in the last inning. I think the umpire made a BIG difference. He really did a bad job. But our pitcher had troubles and a few errors added to the lose. It was a frustrating game to watch.

On a MUCH happier note! The softball team Adam play on WON!!! Hurray. Jordan hit a home run! They were leading the whole game. Then the other team tied it up. Extra innings! Our team had the inning of a lifetime! Everyone was hitting awesome hits! We scored 15 runs! They only scored one so we won! It was GREAT!

Art Show at BYU

Tonight Zoe and I went to an art show at BYU displaying one of her art pieces!  Reagan Academy has an amazing art teacher. He arrange for around 100 students to have their art displayed in the Harris Fine Arts Center at BYU and Zoe was one of them. Tonight was the opening reception so Zoe and I met Marie and Marci there. I was impressed with her art!1 What do you think?

Img_1654

There was little plaques next to each pieces listing name, grade, and type of art.

Img_1651_3

Zoe was so proud of her art, in a museum, framed and looking so very professional!
