Reception

The reception was so much fun! I am almost done blogging about this day! We had such a good time it is hard to leave anything out.
Michelle and her family did a beautiful job on the tables. I had heard ideas about the table and decorations for months so it was fun to see it all come together! Michelle hand painted all those shells. She had a little help from Jordan, Marci,Marie and even Adam! They looked so nice on the table. I was bummed I didn't find the ones Adam painted to take home, but the ones I got are lovely!

Britain danced all night long! She danced with me, Grandma, Marci, Marie, anyone who would dance. But her favorite person to dance with was herself in that mirror you can see!

As we were getting ready to leave Adam was entertaining Tori in her car seat and she laughed! For the first time ever. And I didn't even hear it! I was bummed. A couple days later when Kenny and Marci were here she laughed again, twice and both times I was out of the room. But finally I heard that sweet sound when I was playing with her! Those are the great moments!

Ring Ceremony

Jordan and Michelle had a ring ceremony before the reception. Nik stood in the front with the other groomsmen. He had the hardest time just standing there. He twisted and fidgeted and watch the golfers going by. It was funny to watch. He is getting so big!

IMG_5920
Zoe dropped flowers down the aisle. She giggled all the way down and never looked up. She was super cute!

Jordan and Michelle look so happy! Adam said a few words and told Jordan and Michelle when to exchange rings. I don't know what to call it. He did a great job!
IMG_5935
As everyone walk back down the aisle after the ceremony Nik did not want to link arms with a "girl." It was cute to watch him! He was so embarrassed!

Group Shots

Michelle and Jordan had a really great photographer who took lots of pictures. We were all there early to do group shots with the bride and groom.Kylie was my photographer and took pictures for me. Here are some of my favorites!

The whole clan!

Jason and Jaime were the only ones not there due to circumstances beyond their control. We missed them a lot.

Here is a funny story that we will always remember from this day. After the sealing on Tuesday we all went out to eat. One thing on the menu was calamari. Jordan had a lot and unfortunately had an allergic reaction to it. It started with hives and Friday (this day) his eyes started swelling up. Mom took him to an urgent care where they spent the whole morning waiting for a shot and medication. He made it in time to take pictures but you can still see a little swelling. What an memory!

Pre-reception

First off I am going to apologize for all the pictures! We took so many and there are so many cute ones. I can't decide which ones to put on so I am posting a ton! Hope it is not too boring.

I am starting with the pre-reception photos (yes, there will be more posts about the reception coming!) My sisters and I had lots of fun dressing up the girls for this day (hence all the pictures!) I love their dresses my Mom found in the garment district in LA. I love their hair, which I will show closer pictures of latter.

Zoe was a flower girl in the ring ceremony so that is why her dress is different. She got a tiara too!

It was a chilly day. The coldest day when we were there by far. Using the word cold is funny sitting here now in Utah and it is COLD. But you know! I didn't bring jackets for the girls so they used the guys' suit coats!

The Beach

On New Years Day Adam played in a football game at a park near the beach. We all went with him to play at the beach. The kids played at a new park for a long time before hitting the beach. The morning was very overcast and on the cold side. I didn't think the kids would get wet. I just thought they would put their feet in and be done. Boy was I wrong!

They loved playing in the water and they all got soaking wet. Well, not Ariana. She was content to play in the sand with Kenny!
IMG_5765
She did go down near the water, but run away too fast. She never got wet!
IMG_5769
I rolled everyone's pants up so they could get their feet wet.
IMG_5754
But that didn't last too long. Britain and Kalixta got so wet their pants were falling down. So they played the rest of the time in their under ware. What unprepared tourists!

Poor Ammon. I wouldn't let him take his pants off. That didn't stop him at all!

Good-Bye 2008

We spent New Year's Eve with Adam's family. All the kids ran around and played while the adults played games and ate! We had a great night. At midnight we watched the ball drop and toasted with sparkling cider. We then pulled crackers. Two people pull on each end and there's a crack. Inside were prizes, jokes and crowns. Those were fun.

Playing games!

Jordan & Michelle

Jordan and Michelle were sealed for time and all eternity in the Newport Beach Temple of Tuesday. We spent the morning getting ready and then drove two hours to the temple. We have been there a few other times, but the sight of the temple always take my breath away. It is beautiful. I love going to the temple with my family. I went inside with Michelle to help her get ready. Marie, Jeff, Kylie and my Dad watched the kids outside. Here are some pictures of the kids while they were waiting.

Beck’s Christmas

In my family all growing we drew names for Christmas to see who bought for who. This has continued to expand to include all the spouses. There are now 13 people in our exchange. We waited until Sunday night when we were all at my parents to open the presents. Jason and Jaime were the only two missing (plus Michelle came late) and we missed them TONS!

We had lots of fun opening presents one at a time to see what every one got. The kids were super patient. They waited until the very end to open their presents.
My brother Jeff is such a nerd!

Christmas Part 2

We drove into Oxnard late Friday night. There was a snow storm here and the roads were slushy and the driving was SLOW. It took us two and a half extra hours to get to CA, but we made it safe! The first thing we did was go to Adam's Mom and Dad's house for another Christmas. We had so much fun. We got to see Nik again to so that was wonderful! It was good to see our family too!

Ariana was excited to see her Grandma.
