Ari’s First Haircut

I finally took Ari to get her hair cut. I found this fun place not too far away. They specialize in princess so it was the perfect place for Ari!

Here are the befores.

Ariana had a blast at the salon drinking princess hot chocolate (it was pink with whip cream and pink sprinkles) and a cup cake loaded with frosting!

She loves her haircut. She will shake her head and show it off to anyone!

Science Projects

Zoe, Ammon, and Nik all had the option of doing a science project. I, being the mean mom that I am, made them each do one! In the end they all had fun with the experiment part and hopefully learned a little bit. Ammon and I had fun trying to mix oil and water. We then layered five different liquids to make a rainbow in a jar.

Zoe and I had fun making cookies. We left out the leavening agents to see what would happen. The family had a good time taste testing all the cookies! Thanks for the idea Tara!!

Nik, well his face says it all! He liked the experiment which was seeing if molecules moved faster in hot, warm, or cold water but the rest of the project was "boring." Everything in his life is right now.

Nik was not to happy to be taking pictures. I can't decide if I make him take pictures and get these results (this was the best one by the way) or don't take pictures and when I'm old I will wonder where he is at.

Ari sized Snowmen

Today it rain. Weird I think for it to rain in the middle of winter. Snow! I want snow! We haven't had snow since the first week in January. There is snow everywhere but it is the ugly snow. The black, dirty snow. I want clean fresh white snow! I think everyone in this house does!

Hopefully this weekend. Until then I will just have to find solace in my pictures of the last snow. Super Marci came over to play with the girls in the snow! They love being in the snow and have a big person with them made it that much better. They made a snow man. An Ari sized snowman. And boy did she love it!

She licked him.

I left all the girls playing to pick up the rest of the kids from school. When I got home there was a Tori sized snowman with the Ari sized snowman! I am mad I didn't get a picture of that!

Zoe’s Blanket

Zoe got a fleece, Cinderella make it yourself blanket for her birthday. All the material was there she just had to cut and tie it together. She loves fleece blankets and couldn't wait to do this project.

Here she is working on it!

Zoe is a crafty person. She loves to doodle on paper, scrapbook and make anything. She wants to learn how to sew too. This was the perfect project for her. Not to difficult and very rewarding in the end. She loves her blanket and sleeps with it every night!

Mommy’s little Helper

The kids had no school Friday or Monday. So we spent the Friday cleaning! Yes, they were so excited! We cleaned all the drawers, cupboards, walls, and counters in the kitchen. They were a great help even with all the complaining. I really appreciated all they did. It would have taken me much longer.

Monday I wanted to clean the pantry so that the job would be complete! Ariana was my big helper this time. She started by taking all the stuff off the shelf. Then she would spray the shelf and wipe it down. Then she helped put everything back. She, of course, had to have a apron just like Mommy too. It was so fun to clean and spend time with only her.

Sunday Dinner

We were thrilled that Jason and Jaime were able to come visit us on Sunday. Jason just got hired at Weber State to be the quarterback coach. We are so excited for him, and even more excited that they were able to move back to Utah. They are about 1 1/2 hours away from us but it is much closer than Louisiana!

Tori met her Auntie and Uncle for the first time!

Any occasion is a good occasion to take pictures, but this really was. Here are all of us Utahans.
IMG_6233
"Smile nice and the next picture will be a silly face." is the bribe we use to try to get good smiles. It worked last night. Even Ari held still and looked at the camera and smile. That is quite a feat! So here is our silly/scary faces! Nik's face cracks me up since I see that all the time!
IMG_6234
Taking group pictures is a big task because either someone doesn't want to take pictures or someone is sleeping or someone won't smile. You get the drift. I start shooing people to their places while Adam sets up the tripod, gets the timer ready and takes a shot or two to make sure everything is good. Last night was no different. This is one of the getting ready pictures he took. When I saw it I couldn't stop laughing.

They were so funny opening presents. Kalixta opened presents so fast. (So shocking! Kalixta is our slow poke!) Britain would look at the present Kalixta just opened while still opening hers.
They had cute cakes thanks to Marci!

Finally, Ammon lost some teeth!

Ammon is half way through first grade and finally lost some teeth, but it isn't his bottom teeth! Last week he went to dentist to have some cavities filled and the dentist told me there was no point filling the cavities. He said it was better to just pull the teeth out. So he did. Ammon lost two molars on the upper left side. One of them is his molar you are supposed to loose at age 11. In fact Nikolas just lost that molar. The roots on the teeth were HUGE! I felt so bad for the boy, but he is amazing. He didn't cry once and never complained about any pain. He is so tough, when it comes to dentist stuff.

He finally got a visit from the tooth fairy! He was so excited! Any guesses what he spent his money on? Gum and chips! No wonder he has cavities!

Saying Good bye to Oxnard

No matter how many times we go to and leave Oxnard it doesn't make it any easier. It is hard to say good bye to everyone we love to much. This time we said "See you soon!" We will be back in Oxnard for another wedding in April. Yeah Nick and Donna!!
