Soccer Saturday

Today’s soccer games went great and were lots of fun especially since Jeffy was there to watch them again!

Ari’s played so hard today! It always amazes me when she gets around a bigger girl and steal the ball.

She even got to try out goalie even though it wasn’t her favorite position!

Tori had a fun game. She makes us laugh when she is running around just behind the group with the ball!

One of the Mom’s made the cutest hair bows for the team. They each have the girls’ name and number on them!

Britain loves playing goalie! She is pretty good at it too! She had a few saves today!

Kalixta is doing great at forward!

Michael loves being out at the soccer fields all day but it is a long day! We got him a little soccer ball that is just perfect for him!

CI vs Santa Barbara

Tonight’s game was close but didn’t end the way we wanted it to. 10-8 Santa Barbara

Nik looked great tonight, but what else can a mother say!

He played hard and I, as always, am proud!

Max preps shows 3 catches for 50 yards, 9 tackles and a fumble recovery. He did cause the fumble too!

Tori went to the game with me and we had a great time!

Even when she fell asleep on my lap and Uncle Jeffy, Grandpa or Daddy had to carry her! Adam started filming all the games so Ammon went up on top of the announcer booth with him and took all the awesome pics!

Nik’s Young Men’s President, Darnell Baker, comes to most of the home games and does the chains! He is an amazing football player so Nik really appreciates having him there and getting his feedback!

Uncle Jeff, Darnell,Nik and a sleeping Tori!

Ariana’s Glasses

Adam mentioned that he thought Ari needed glasses. I brushed the idea off for a few months but after a few different comments from Ariana I decided I needed to take her in. I called and made an appointment. She then went to the regular dr and failed the vision test so I then knew she needed glasses.

Yesterday I took her to a great eye doctor and she does!

She has astigmatism which makes her both near sighted and far sighted so she will have to wear her glasses all the time. She is excited and had a great time trying all the glasses on. These are two pairs she did not pick!

She didn’t want to take a picture in the ones she picked because she wanted it to be a surprise for everyone!

She got her eyes dilated, which she thought was pretty cool! The best part was her cool sunglasses and her sticky guy prize!

She is dying to get her new glasses and see the world clearly again!

Patriots Day

Every year at school there is a Patriot’s Day assembly! All the kids come out to the flag pole for a flag raising, talks of patriotism and a few songs. The kids each get to put a flower by the flag pole. I love that our school shows and teaches patriotism!

Tori going back to class.

They honor all military parents from the school as well as policemen, firemen, and EMT’s. Our school has many men and women in uniform show up.

Michael likes to place a flower at the flag pole too!

On a side note Tori was awarded her first Fabulous Fish!

Every time Tori is caught doing something great she gets a sticker on her fish! After she gets 5 stickers she gets to bring the fish home! She was pretty please with herself!

Beach Day

We spent the day at the beach with our out of town family! It was a gorgeous day and the kids had a ton of fun playing in the water and sand with Aunts, Uncles and cousins!

Everything in life it a joy with this girl!

We had to go clean up and warm up at the pool after!

I love love when my family is in town! It will be so hard to see them go to their homes. Love you all!!

Ariana’s Baptism

Saturday Ariana got baptized! She has waited so long, according to her she has waited her “whole life!!”

She looked so cute in her baptismal suit! You can tell by that smile how excited she was!

Ari and Daddy all in white!

Ariana’s friend from our ward was baptized with her!

Michael had to have a picture too!

8 Is Great!

Our Family

Her two best friends from school came. She was so happy they came to share her special day!

Her teacher, Ms Cregor came!! That was the best!!

A few favorite friends from church!

Lots of family came too! Great Grandma Mike.

The Platts

Grandma, Grandpa and Cami

The Becks

The Moores

Grandma and Grandpa

Ariana said that this was the best day of her life EVER! It was a beautiful day and it went perfectly!

CI vs Fillmore

Friday night Nik’s team played Fillmore. Marci and Kenny came with their boys! My brother Joey and his wife Sujin came. Jeff and his wife Kylie are down for the weekend too so they came! My parent came as well as Adam’s parents and they brought my niece Gabi! It was so fun to have so many people there to support Nik!

Unfortunately it was a terrible game. Both for CI and Nik! They didn’t pass the ball so Nik only had 1 catch for 7 yards! He had a few plays on defense. He ended with 3 solo and 2 assisted tackles and did return a punt for 7 yards! He was disappointed to not do well with his family here but Fillmore played well.  It was fun for me to sit at the game with everyone!!

Cousins

Exciting things are happening here this weekend and so my sister Marci and her family came down for the weekend! We are so excited they are here!!! They got here yesterday and Michael went over to play. He was doing ninja moves with his cousin and hit his eye on the chair. He got a pretty good bump and cut. Today all he wanted was a band-aid on it!

We picked up my favorite 3 year old nephew for the afternoon! We had so much fun!! We started by a lunch date.

These two are so funny together! They had the best toys! Football players!

The girls were soooo excited when he picked them up from school! Tori HAD to hold his hand!

We ran a few errands waiting for the big kids to get out of school! There was more hand holding and a little fun pulling!

They all loved the pet store stop!

Nothing like cousin selfies!

Then add an Uncle!

Funny silly cousins….they sure love each other!

Cinnamon Rolls

I am very proud to say I did something I never thought I would even try! I made cinnamon rolls! Yeast and bread making and all that that entails is pretty foreign to me. But as I have gotten better at bread making I thought I would branch out!

So far so good!

They turned out great!!

And I learned a thing or two. They weren’t so hard!

I did not like the frosting and will be trying something else when I make them again!

But they were a hit!

Poor Michael

Poor Michael has it pretty rough being home all by himself now that all the other kids are in school! He always finds something to do!!

He loves to watch the turtles!

He eats weird ways. He put bags on his hands so he wouldn’t have to touch the go gurt!

He insisted on having butter and cheese on his waffle AND he did it himself!

We love to go to the park!

We have been to a few Dr. appointments to check that everything inside is right. Thankfully it is! At one appointment he saw this sign and asked what it said. I told him and he said, “No, it says no shots for Michael!” He even told the Dr that!

He often takes naps on the way home from taking the kids of going to pick them up. This new schedule of getting up early and driving in the car always gets him!
