Britain and Kalixta turned 6 today!! SO hard to believe they are growing up so fast! We celebrated yesterday with a dinner they picked. Kalixta wanted frog egg salad and Britain wanted Bacon-wrapped cocktail sausages! So delicious! So I add chicken roll ups so there was a little nutrition and it was a great dinner!
Kalixta requested a Hello Kitty cake so that is what she got! She was so happy!
Britain wanted a chocolate cake with green frosting and butterflies and flowers. This is what I came up with! She really loved her cake!!
The girls and I sat at the computer today and looked at pictures from their birth until their 5th birthday. It was fun to see how they had grown and changed and the presents they got. Starting on their second birthday we notice that Britain always blew her candles out before Kalixta! This year was no exception! Britain finished blowing and was licking candles as Kalixta finally blew out her candles!
I had to include this picture because it cracks me up! Apparently it took me a long time to light the candles! Yes, I see these faces often!
Britain and Kalixta got lots of great presents! They are great present openers like their Dad! They are very animated and get so excited over each gift. Adam and his awesome photography skill captured a few on film!
My girls LOVE their bubble bath!
They also LOVE each other, of maybe it is just the chips they got each other!
Kalixta is very possessive on those socks!
They got lots of treats and lots of clothes. Thanks to everyone! Stayed tuned tomorrow for an outrageous fashion show like only the Basuas can do!!
We are so lucky to have family here to celebrate with! Marie was gone with basketball and we really missed her!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY<,my girls, grandpa Buzz sends his love,and kisses. We miss you so much, we wish we could of been there with U for your big day. I'm sure your mommy and daddy made it real nice. Kids growing up is so exciting, and so sad for me as a mom. It is amazing to watch and be a part of. ps – those cakes are awesome!!!
I can’t believe their 6 too! Wow, they were so little when I first came into the family..Melissa, you did such a great job on the cakes! Way too cute! Sorry we couldn’t be there..hopefully we’ll get to be at the next birthday dinner 🙂

My babies are getting SO big and are beautiful to boot! I remember stealing them away every Sunday when they were babies. I was SO baby hungry and couldn’t get pregnant, so they were the perfect solution! Happy birthday girls!
