Continue reading »]]> We all had a great Valentines Day yesterday. For me it was a day filled with love and a deep appreciation of all that I have! My kids are my world and I love them more than I can put into words! Watching them enjoy the little things everyday brings me joy, but watching them enjoy the “best day EVER!” is so much fun!

Daddy woke the girls up with their Valentines he gave them! They love their Daddy so much! He got them balloons and a little Valentine cup with fun stuff in it!

I helped Tori make a Valentine’s bag and all the kids gave her Valentines so she wouldn’t feel left out! She had a great time making ones for her brothers and sisters too!

Ariana had the ”BEST DAY EVER!” The girl loved everything about this day of love!

Britain got a few “special” Valentines from some boys! She was pretty embarassed about that!!

Kalixta loved making her Valentines. She is such a sweet love!

Ammon is as silly as always! The only thing he liked about Valentines Day was the candy!

My sweet hubby spoiled me as always! He got me some gorgeous flowers! Adam is my sweetest Valentine! I am so grateful to spend this life and eternity with him!

Continue reading »]]> About 6 months ago Britain asked me if she could get her ears pierced. Kalixta was right behind her in wanting her’s pierced too. I don’t have an age at which I let the kids do things. I think each child is a little different but I don’t want them doing something simply because everyone else is! So I told the girls if they still wanted to on their birthday we would talk about it! The closer it got to their birthday the more Britain talked about how she was getting her ears pierced! Kalixta was pretty quiet and didn’t ask!  On their birthday I told Britain I would take her to get her ears pierced and she was thrilled! I talked to Kalixta and told her the pros and cons and told her she needed to make that decision for herself!

Finally two Saturdays ago we made it to the mall! Kalixta decided she did want her ears pierced and off we went!! Adam kept all the kids and I set off to the mall with Kalixta, Britain, Zoe and Kylie! Driving away I ask who was going first. Kalixta’s hand shot up saying she was and Britain pointed at Kalixta saying she was. I laughed and asked if the had talked about that before and they said no! They were just on the same wave!

The mall was so busy! I am not a mall goer so I was a little shocked by how many people were there! We had to wait a long time and by a long time I mean 30 minutes or more once the girls picked their earrings! Kalixta did go first even though she was very nervous by the time they got to us! She didn’t’ cry at all! Her face looked shocked when it happened and after it looked like she wanted to but she didn’t !!

Britain hid her face while Kalixta got her ear pierced. She climbed up into the chair as soon as Kalixta got out of it! She was brave and held my hand while her ears were pierced with no tears!

Continue reading »]]> We had chips Saturday for dinner. Ariana screeched “I love bbq chips!”

Zoe gave they typical response, “So why don’t you marry it!”

Ariana responded, “I can’t! It doesn’t have any eyes or nose or mouth or legs or arms!”

I thought that was the end of it until I saw Zoe bent over a chip with a sharpie! Yes, she put eyes, nose, a mouth, arms and legs on a chip so Ariana could marry it!

Well, Ariana didn”t marry the chip she ate it!! Gotta love the fun in our house!

Continue reading »]]> Britain and Kalixta choose to be baptized! They have been looking forward to this day for a while! Saturday was the big day! The baptism was at 4 o’clock. They thought that was waaaay too late in the day! They wanted it to come sooner! About 11 Britain started carrying around a clock with the time on it counting down the minutes until we could go!

Waiting with their Daddy, all dressed in white! There was 5 other children getting baptized with them. We were the last group to go! Kalixta got to be baptized first since she is the oldest, by 2 minutes!

Since Kalixta went first she stood on the stairs of the font to watch Britain. She was shivering so bad! Britain wrote in the journal that the water was cold but that she felt warm inside because she was choosing the right!

Both sets of Grandparents were at the baptism!

The Platts came all the way from Utah to spend this special weekend with us! We are so grateful they made the trek! Marci even gave the talk of the baptism.

Britain and Kalixta set an amazing example for their younger sisters who love them so very much!!

Jordan and Michelle couldn’t make it but they sent a thoughtful gift! Your cards are in the mail guys!

They also got their very own set of scriptures and a new bag!

I am so grateful for these two sweet girls. I love you both!! Please always remember this day and remember how you felt! Strive to always choose the right and work to have the Spirit with you all the time! Read those scriptures daily! Pray often and always remember to do as Jesus would!

Continue reading »]]> My sister-in-law Michelle is an amazingly talented women! While she was here she played in an alumni water polo game. She played for Buena in high school! We were so lucky and went to see her play! I know she will shake her head, BUT Michelle you are so AWESOME!!! It was so fun watching her play. She scored three goals! She is quick and strong!

She also played goalie, which is not a position she plays much. She did great and made a number of saves!

She also had an assist when she was playing goalie. She threw this ball up there and the other girl scored!

The kids had a lot of fun watching her play too. Of course what they really wanted to do was jump in the water!! After the game Michelle shared her cap with Ariana!

Britain borrowed the cap and was all ready to jump in too! The water was very warm! It felt like a bathtub and I was a little sad too!

Continue reading »]]> I love taking the kids to feed the ducks and they love going too. My brother Jeff works at Subway and has leftover bread for us to take every once in a while! Those ducks love that jalapeno bread!!

Ammon tries to coax the ducks closer and closer to him so they will eat out of his hand! Hasn’t worked yet, but they get really close!

Jordan and Michelle went with us one time! We love spending time with them!

Kalixta is a loner feeder! She loves to stand apart from all of us and have her own ducks to feed!

KP loved eating the bread as much as the ducks! He is one cute boy!!
