Ammon’s 1st Game

Ammon had his first baseball game today! He has been waiting for this day for a while. The first game was rain out and he was so sad. Today he asked about seven times, "What time is it?" and "What time is my game?" His goofy Mom took her camera with dead batteries so I didn't get any pictures until we got home. But no fear I will take lots nextt week! Here is my Yankee!

I realize Adam should be writing the blogs about the games because he would give more details and a better description of the game. It would also be less biased than mine! I always think my boys play great!

Ammon had a good game. He hits off a tee so he got three good hits. The first time he ran from first to second he started going to the second base on another field and they had to call him back! He got to field a ball or two. He didn't run after every hit like I thought he might. In the third inning he seemed to be a little bored. He stood in the same spot the whole inning. He would turn and watch balls and runners, but didn't move much. Don't tell him though! He was just staying in his position! He had a blast even though the game ended in a tie:)

On a different note we had a great weekend with Adam' s brother, Nik, and his girlfriend, Donna, visiting from Oregon. It was so great to have them here! We love them and miss them already! The kids and I drove them to the airport this morning. We got home at 10:30 and at 10:35 Britain said,"I miss Donna too much already! Can't we go back and get her from the airport?" Thanks for visiting guys! Hope to see you VERY soon!

Way to go, Ammon! It was so fun to read about your first game! We look forward to reading more about your future games and your progress as a baseball player. You must be the cutest Yankee on the team!
And we miss you all already, too! Our house seems so quiet…we miss the readily available hugs and kisses and playing around with the kids. We’ll be checking the blog regularly to keep up with all the news. We’re already wondering about Zoe’s river walk and Nik’s next game, laughing as we remember Duke’s costume changes, missing the twins in their furry pj’s, and amazed at Ariana’s stamina! I (Donna) miss Britain, too!
We thank you so much for having us, we had a great time! We hope that we get to visit again soon, spending time with your family was awesome. I (Donna) just appreciated getting to know you all better, and thank you for welcoming me into the family with such open arms. Meeting Melissa’s family was also really great, everyone is so nice! Melissa and Adam were wonderful hosts–just wish we didn’t keep you up so late! Maybe tonight you will get a decent night’s sleep!
Take care, looking forward to the next time already, Love, Uncle Nicky & Donna

I can’t wait to catch one of Ammon’s games. I am sure Adam/Nik told you we went to Nik’c game. Sorry you guys didn’t come but by time that game is over, it is really late for the kids. But summer is almost here!!
